Board met in regular session at 9 A.' M. All members present.
Minutes of meetings held May I7th. , and May ISth, , I927, read and
approved.
. This being the elate set, continued hearing was had on the assessment
roll for the grade, curb and walk .improvement on Dayton Street from Robinabn Street
to westerly line of 1-. S. Rovinson's 2nd., Plat under Improvement Resolution No, 566..
In the above matter, the Board being fully advixed in the premises,
finds that the benefits accruing th the several lots which have been assessed for said
improvement, are equal to the amounts named on said roll and therefore the Board
takes final action on said assessment roll and declares said assessment roll filed
j May 3rd. 1927, in all thi$gs ratified confirmed and approved. The Board now orders
said assessment roll delivered to the Department of Finance.
The Board approved the excavation bond of William Oollmer signed by
Commercial Casualty InsurarI ce Co.
The Board approved the Contaactors Bond of $ I, 000.000 in favor of
Charles Kolik, signed by the Independence Indemnity Co.
The Board approved the Guarantee Bond of Carl D. Traxler for the
maintenaince of the South-east Trunk Sewer under Improvement Resolution No.I635. ✓
The Amount of the bond being $18,554.45, which is 10% of the contract price off the
work. Bond signed by the Union Indemnity Co, by W. C. Bade, attorney in fact.
The Board approved the following recommendations for lights filed by

Installation of one only 4000 lumen light at Indiana `ivenue and
Chapin Street. cost 45.00 per year.
Installation of one only 4000 lumen light at Franklin and Donald..Street
at a cost of 45.00 :per year.
City Engineer, Yr. H. G. 01ray, submitted partial estimate No.2 for
the grade, curb walk, water abd pavement improvement on South Street from mouth:;St.reet
j -trem Sunnyside Avenue to Longfellow Avenue according to the term of the contract between
'I the City and Williston Construction Co., under Improvement Resolution No*1725. Board
j approved and signed same in the amount of 14,477#82.
City Engineer, 111r. H. G. ffray, submitted partial estimate No.I for the
pavement improvement on O'Brien Street from North line of Elwood Avenue to the South
�iI line of Keller Street, in accordance with the terms of the contract between the City
and Viilliston Construction Co., under Improvement Resolution No.1747. Board approved
and signed same in the amount of I2, I87.23.
The Board signed the contract with Edward Di Julio for the construction
of a sewer on Garland Street from South 166nd *veenue to a point IO feet South of the
North line of Lot 35 Parker and Allen's Sub. Board approved the construction.bond
on same for 100% of the contract price or $I, 052.60 signed by Inland Bonding �o,
The Board signed the contract with I. W. Staples for the construction
of a sewer along Donald Street from alley east of Leer Street to Sampson 6treet under
Improvement Resolution No.I798. Board approbed the construction bond on sane for 100%
of the contract price or $5,590.16, signed by Commercial Casualty Insurance Co.
This being the date set, bids were received, opened and read for the
lighting of the streets, alleys, boulevards parks, and public places in Ridgedale
Addition to the City of South Bend, Indiana. Bids as follows:

This being the date set, bids were received, opened and read for the
construction of pavement on Colfax Avenue from Eddy Street to unnyside Avenue under
improvement resolution No.17I5. Bids as follows:

under Condemnation Resolution No.I856.
In the above matter, the Board hereby orders that on the I5th,, day
of June, 1927, this Board, at it's of * e on the City Hall, will meet to hear and receiv
reomonstrances from all persons whose ay be affected by said proceedings. The Board
further orders that notices of said hearing shall be published o the 27th., day of
May and on the 3rd., day of June, 1927 , in the south Bend News �im es and Tribune,
according to law.
City Engineer, Mr. H. G. Wray, filed the following assessment rolls
Assessment roll for the vacation of the alley west of Main Street
from the South line of Foote Street to the North line of Ist., alley South of Foote 8t,,
uftder Vacation Resolution No.I800.
Assessment rol_1 for the vacation of the alley north of Bartlett
Street from the west line of Main street to the east line of Ist. , alley west of Main St,
finder vacation Resolution No.I80I.
In both of the above named assessment rolls, the Board hereby
orders that on the 8th. , day of June, I927, this Board at it's office in the City Hall
will meet to hear and receive remonstrances from all persons whose property has been
assessed for said vacation. Board further orders that notices of said hearing and
the amount of benefits and damages shall be delivered to property owners according to
law.

Assessment roll for the construction of grade, curb and walk on
the North tide of Almond Court from Ist., alley East of St. Peter Street to the 3rd.,
alley East of St. Peter Street under Improvement Resolution No.I708.
In the above named. assessment roll, the Board hereby orders that
on the Ist., day of June, I927, this Board will meet at it's office in the city Hall
at 7-15 P. h., and will decide whether the several lots and parcles of lAnd which
have been assessed for said improvement have been benefited in the amounts named on
said roll. Board further orders that notices of said hearing shall be published on
the 27th. , day of May and on the 28th. , day of May, 1927, in the South $end News ITimes
and Tribune.

construction of a pipe sewer on Donmoyer Avenue from Michigan Street to Fellows Street
under Improvement Resolution No.I756. Rocco Simeri, contractor, 4,6II.80.
In the above matter, the Board hereby orders that on. the 8th. , day f
June, I927, the Board at it's office in the City Hall at 7-I5 P. M., will meet to hear
and receive remonstrances from all persons whose property has been assessed for said
improvement and will fiecide whether the several lots and parcels of land which have beeni
assessed on said roll have been benefited in the amounts shown on said rolls. Board
further orders that notices of said hearing_ shall be published on the 27th. , day of Mayand on the 3rd., day of June, 1927, in the south Bend News Times and Tribune,aecording
to law.
The Board instructed the Street Commissioner, Mr. C. J. Allardt, toy
a new one half ton Special four cylinder, three wheel motor roller for the sum of 1900.0( .
