j Board met in regular session at 7-I5 P. IT. All members present.
This being the date set, hearing was had on Vacation Resolution No.I795 for
the Vacation of the Ist., alley west of Notre Dame Avenue from the South lines of

lots 341 and 347 in Cottrell's Ist., Addition to the North lines of said lots 341 a
347 in Cottrell's Ist., Addition.

1 In the above matter, no remonstrators app@naned and no written remonstrance
was filed and the Board belting fully advised in the premises, decides to sustain
all former action taken on said Vacation Resolution No.1795, and declares same in
all things ratified, conf±±.med and approved and the alley vacated.
The Board now orders that a list or roll be prepared of all property and of
all valuable interests therein sought to be taken or to be injuriously affected,

which list shall also describe the property beneficially affected.
This being the date set, hearing was had on Condemnation Resolution No,1793
for the opening of Bulla Street from Portage Avenue to Medora Street.
j In, the above matter, Mr. Harry Polis appeared remonstrating against said
opening and the Board being fully advised in the premises, decides to overrule

said remonstrance and to sustain all former action taken on said Condemnation
and declares said Condemnation Resolution No.I793 in all thin s ratified eonffi ed.

The Board now orders that a list or roll be prepared of all property and of
all valuable interests therein sought to be taken or to be injuriously affected,
which list shall also describe the property beneficially affected.

This being the date set hearing was had on the following. Improvement Resolutions:
Improvement Resolution NO.I796 for. the construction of a local sewer in and along
Orange Street from Colle e Street t o a
g point 40 ,feet West of the east line of lot 24
Wedensday evening, A.,ril 27th. , I9271
College_ Grove Add.; also from Brookfield. Street to a point 169.5 feet West of the
center line of Brookfield Street.; also from Grant Street to the alley west of
O'Brien Street.
Improvement resolutinn No.I798 for the consbuction of a local sewer in
and along Donald Street bzt een the alley east of leer Street anq Sampson Itreet.
In both of the above matters no remonstrators appeared and no written
remonstrance was filed and the Board being fully advised in the premises, finds
that the benefits to the property -liable to be assessed for said improvement are
equal to the estimated cost of same as reported by the City Engineer, and therefore:;;:.
declares said Improvement Resolutions No.1796 and No.I798 in all.things ratified,
comfirmed and approved.
In both of the above improvement resolutions, the Board orders that
on the I7th. , day of May, I927, this Board will receive, opene and consider sealed
proposals for the construction of said local sewers. Board further orders that
notices of said,proposals be published 6th., day of May, 1927 and on the 13th ., day
of May, I927, in the South. Bend News Times and Tribune,
This being the date set, hearing was had on .the Improvement Resolution
No.I794 for the construction of a local sewer in and along Johnson Street from
Hamilton Street to Wilson Street and Bergan Street from Johnson Street to Portage
Avenue.
In the above matter, remonstrators appeared and upon taking a mote,
the Board finds that there were fifteen property owners present who lived on the
streets, four of whom were against the improvement. The Board, therefore, decides
to continue hearing on same until May 4th., 1927, at 7-I5 P. If.
In the Resolution for the pavement on Dale Avenue from Donmoyer Avenue
to Oakside Street; and Woodside Street from ?'lest line of Lot 294 Charles Weidler"s
Second Addition to east line of lot 289, the property owners waived all objections
in and for the defense of said proceedings and to any violation in -the procedure'
for the construction of pavements as fixed by law. Thereupon the Board proceeds to
receive, open and consider sealed proposals for the construction of said grade, curb
walk and pavement under Improvement Resolution No.I817. Bids as follows:

In all of the above named resolutions the Board hereby orders that on the
Ist., day of June, 1927, this Board at it's office in the City Hall dLt 7-15 P.X.,
will meet to hear and receive remonstrances from all persons whose property will
be affected by said improvements. Board further orders that notices of said hearings
shall be published on the 12th. day of MW and on the Ifth., day of May, 1927, in
jithe South Bend News Times and Tribune according to law and that notices be mailed
to property owners according to law.

Bids having been received for the improvement of Fairview, Irvington, Eckman
and Marine Streets -under Improvement Resolution No*I8I8, and a petition having been
made to the Board by the Twyckenham Land and Inventment Co., sole owners of the proper
on said streets, the Board this 27th., day of April,, 1927., hereby awards the contract
for said improvement to the Twyckenham Land and Investment Co., for light traffic
concrete pavement, 'upon their bid of $37,401.30.
