Tuesday April 26th.9 1927.
Board met in regular session at 9 A. M. All'memb ers present.
Minutes of meetings held April. I9th. , and and April 20th. , I927, read and
approved.
.This being the date set, no bids were received for the construction.of
a sewer -on -Sheridan Avenue under Improvement Resolution No.1786.
The Board approved the following contbactors bonds:
Peter Slaterits for �I,000.00'.
Louis Poczik for $I,000.00.
The Board approved the following excavation bonds:
John Wachowiak for I,000.00.
Upn the redommendat ion of Cit T iligine er, Mr. H. G. Wray, the Board signed
and approved the following partial estimates:
Partial estimate No.I for the pipe sewer in Donmoyer Avenue from Michigan
Stfeet to Fellows Street in a ecordanage with the terms of the contract between the
City and Rocco Simeri, Contractor. Board signed and a -proved same inthe amount of
r2,997.67.
Partial estimate No.I for the grade and walk improvement on LaSalle Avenue
from Sunnyside,Avenue to Ist., alley East of Sunnyside Avenue, in accordance with hhe
terms of the contract between the city and E. T. Tranber:, contractor under Improvement
resolution No.I777. Board signed and approved same in the amount of 6201.150
The Board signed the contract with the Williston Construction Co., for the
construction of Asphaltic Concrete on Pulaski Street, Calvert Street and Dubail Avenue
under Improvement Resolution No.I802. Board approved the construction bond of same
for 100% of the contract price or $20,528.4I9 signed by the Inland Bonding Co.
City Engineer, Mr. H. G. Wray, fildd the assessment roll for the South-east
Trunk Sewer system under Improvement resolution No.I635, Carl D. Traxler, contractor,
and the total amount dite. the contractor is I89,554.50.
In the above matter, the Board hereby orders that on the Ilth., day of
May, 1927, this Board at it's office in the Gity Hall at 7-I5 P. M., will meet .to
hear and receive remonstrances from all persons whose property has been assessed for
said improvement and will decide whether the several lots and parcels of land which
are assessed for said improvement have been benefited in the amounts shown on said
assessment roll or in a greater or less amount. Board further orders that notices of
said hearing shall be published on the 29th. , day of April and on the ,Gth. , day of
May, I927, in the South Bend News Times and Tribune.
The Board approved the drive way at -1Il16:South Bend Avenue for G. Kukla,
The Board approved the driveway for Sinclair Filling Station at the .
corner of Lafayette Blvd., and Broadway.
City Engineer, Mir. H. G. dray, filed the assessment roll for the opening
of streets and alleys in Jefferson Heights Addition under Condemnation Resolution
No#1770.
In the above matter, the Board hereby orders that on the Ist., day of
June, 1927, this Board at it's office in the City Hall at 7-I5 P. M., will meet to
hear and receive remonstrances from all persons whose property has been affected by
said Condemnation Resolution. Board further orders that notices be given property
owners according to law regarding the time of the hearing and the assessment of
damages and benefits.
City Engineer, T.r, H. G. .'Dray, filed plans and specifications and the
Board adopted a resolution for the pavement on Fairview Street from Miami to h1arine
Street Irvington Street from Miami Street to Tt,a.fine Street; Eckman Street from
.Miami Street to Yarine Street; 16arine Street from north line of lot 56 Ridgedale
Second Addition to the alley north of F irview Street under Improvement Resolution
No:I8I8. ( See files for copy of resolution.)
In the above matter, property ovrners waived all objections on and in
defence of said proceedings, whereupon the Board received, opened I and read proposals
for the construction of pavement under improvement resolution No.I8I8. Bids as
follows:

Clerk of the Board instructed to notify the Postal Telegraph Company f the
decision of the Board to pave Lincoln Way Nest from LaSalle Avenue to Olive treet.

This being the date set, hearing was had on Vacation Resolution No.I795 for
the Vacation of the Ist., alley west of Notre Dame Avenue from the South lines of
lots 341 and 347 in Cottrell's Ist., Addition to the North.lin es of said lots 341 a

and 347 in Cottrell's Ist., Addition. j
In the above matter, no remonstrators app@rarted and no written remonstrance .
was filed and the Board belting fully advised in the premises, decides to sustain i.
all former action taken on said Vacation Resolution No.1795, and declares same in
all things ratified, confttmed and approved and the alley vacated.

The Board now orders that a list or roll be prepared of all property and of
all valuable interests therein sought to be taken or to be injuriously affected,
which list shall also describe the property beneficially affected.
This being.the date set, hearing was had on Condemnation Resolution No.I793
for the opening of Bulla Street from Portage Avenue to Medora Street.

In the above matter, Mr. Harry Polis appeared remonstrating against said
opening and the Board being fully advised in the premises, decides to overrule
• said remonstrance and to sustain all former action taken on said Condemnation
and declares said Condemnation Resolution No.I793 in all thins ratified, N nfi ed.
