All members present. This being the date set, hearings were had on the following Improve- ment resolutions: Local sewer on Altgeld Avenue from Marine Street to the South-east Trunk Sewer under Improvement Resolution No.I788. Local sewer on Victoria Street from Miami Street to the South-east Trunk Sewer under Improvement Resolution No.I789. In both of the above named resolutions, no remonstrators appeared and no written remonstrance was filed, and the Board, being fully advised in the premises, finds that the several lots and parcels of land liable to be assessed for said improvements will be benefited in the amounts equal to the estimated cost of same, as reported by the City -Engineer, and also that the improvements are necessary: Therefore, the Board, thisr20th., day of April, 1927, hereby declares said improvement resolutions, inall things ratified, confirmed and approved. The Board, hereby orders, that on the Nth., day of May, 1927, this Board at it's office in the City Hall at I0:00 A. 11., will receive, open and read sealed proposals for the construction of a local sewer on Altgeld Avenue under Improvement resolution No.,I788 and also for the construction of a local sewer on Victoria under Improvement Resolution No.I789. Board further orders that notices of s.__id proposals be published in the South Bend News Times and Tribune on the 23dd. , day of Aril and on the 30th. , day of Aril I927. This being the date set. -hearing was had on Improvement Resolution No.I790 for the construction of a local sewer on Chalfant Street. In the above matter, upon a motion duly made and seconded, the Board decides to contin3xe hearing on the resolution until Irl y IIth. , I927, at 7-I5 P. M. This being the date, hearing was had on Variation Resolution No.1787 for the Vacation of the Alley lying between Lot II and Lot I2 in Kunstman and. Meyers Addition from the East line of Olive Street to the West line of the first alley East of Olive Street. In the above matter, no remonstrators appeared and no written 30 Tlednesday..evening April 20th., 1927. remonstrances were filed, mad the Board being fully advised in the premises, decides to sustain all former action taken on said resolution No.I787, and declares same in all things ratified, confirmed and approved, The Board no%,i orders that a list or. roll be prepared of all o%7 ers of property and of all. valuable interests therein sought to be taken or to be injuriously] affected, which list or roll shall also descritFe the property beneficially affected. The Board signed the Contract with The Williston Construction do., for the pavement of Ange'lla Avenue from Marquette Avenue to Lafayette Street under Improve ment resolution No.I702. Board also approved the construction bond of same, which bond is for I00% of the contract price or $21,846,35 signed by Inland: Bonding Co. City Engineer, Mr. H. G. Fray, filed plans, specifications and estimates and the Bo-.rd adopted the following improvement resolutions: Improvement resolution No-18I2 for the pavement of LaSalle Avenue from Hain Street to a point I7 feet 'hest of the 'east line of lot 4 Miller's Sub. Improvement resolution No.I8I3 for the pavement of Lincoln Way Weat from the North line of LaSalle Avenue tp the west line of Cottage Groove Avenue. Improvement resolution No.ISI, for the pavement of Lincoln Way West from: the west line of Cottage Grove Avenue to the West line of Wilber Street. Improvement resolution No.I8I5 for the pavement of Lincoln tray West from. the west line of Wilber Street to the Viest line of Olive Street, Improvement Resolution No.I8I6'for the pavement ofoodside Street from Fellows Street to a point 120 feet West of the West line of Dale Avenue. Improvement Resolution No.I803 for the pavement of Division Street from the East line of Chicago Street to the East line of Belleville Third Unit. Improvement Resolution No.I804''/for the construction of grade, curb and walk on Twenty-first Street from the South line of McKinley Street to the North line of Christman Place Addition and the West one-half of Twenty-first Street from the north dine of Christman Place Addition to the center line of Washington Avenue, Improvement Resolution No.I806✓for the pavement on Sheridan Avenue from the South line of the first alley South of Division Street to a point eighty-twp feet South. Improvement Resolution No.I8I7 for the construction of -grade, curb and walk and pavement on Dale Avenue from Donmoyer Avenue to Oakside Stf'eet, Woodside Street from West line of lot 294 Charles Weidler's Second Addition to the east line of lot 289. Improvement Resolution No.I8II for the pavement of Hoose Court from Scott Street to Chapin Street. ✓ In all of the above named improvement reso lut-ons, the Board hereby orders that on the I8th. , day of May, I927, this Board at it's o fice in the City Nall, will meet at 7-I5 P. M., to hear and receive remonstrances from all persons whose property may be affected by said improvements and will des de whether the benefits to the property liable to be assessed for said improvem nts will be equal to the estimated costs of same as reported by the City Engineer. Board further orders; that notices of said hearing shall be published on the 23rd., day of April and on the 30th. , day of Aprils 1927, in the South Bend Tribune and News Times and that notices be mailed to all property owners according to law. Wray, filed plans and ppe ifications and estimates and the Board adopted the following improvement Resolutions: Improvement resolution No.I802 for the construction of grade, curb, walk and pavement on Pulaski Street from Indiana Avenue to Calvet Street Calvert .Street from Pulaski Street to Nash Atreet and Dubail Street from Pulaski street to the alley East. Improvement Resolution No.I805 for the constructi of grade, curb and walk on Twenty-first Street from Jefferson Blvd., to , ashin bon Avenue and the east 2 of Twenty-first Street from Washington Avenue to North line of Christman. -Place Addition; Colfax Avenue from Twenty-first Street to Twenty-second Street. Improvement Resolution No. I807 for ihhe cons tructi on of pavement on Gladstone Avenue from the South line of Division Street to the north line of Huron St. Huron Street from the East line of the alley west of Gladstone Avenue to the crest lined of Edison Avenue. Improvement Resolution No. I808 for the construction of pavement on Sheriden Avenue from the south line of Division Street to the North line of Huron St.; Huron Street from the west line of the alley east of Sheridan Avenue to the east line of Albert Street. I 0- 0 'Tednesday, rening, April 20th., 1927. 9 0 In all of the above mentioned' -improvement resolutions, the property owners waived all objections on and in defense to any defect in said proceedings and the Board, therefore, -declares -said improvement resolutions No. I802, No.I805, No.I807 and No.I808, in all things ratified, confirmed and approved., Bids were received, opened and read for the construction of grade, curb, walk and pavement on Calvert Street from Pulaski Street to Nash Street; Pulaski Street from Indiana Avenue to Calvert Street; DuBail Avenue from Pulaski Street to Ist., alley East under Improvement Resolution No.1802. M! , will receive, open and read sealed proposals for the construction of said sewer. Board further orders that notices of said proposals shall be published in the South Bend Tribune and News Times on the 6th., day of May and on the I3th., day of Kay, 1927.
