All members present. 2=inutes of meetings held April 5th. , and 2ipril 6th., 1927, read and approved. This being the date set, continued hearing was had on the Assessment .Roll for the Vacation of Alley under Vacation Resolution No.1763. Mr. Aaron H. Huguenard, attorney, representing William Smith, and George Omacht,'representing Yr. Miller, were present; City Attorney, I. S. Romig, was also present. Upon the recommendation of City Attorney, Mr. I. S. Romig, the Board decides to continue hearing on said roll until May IOth., 1927, at IO:DO A. I. The Board approved the following Bonds: Excavation Bond of $ ,000.00 for Frank Spitzer, signed by the American Employ- ers Insurance Co. Contractors Bond of 02,500.00 for Ralph Sollitt & Sons, signed by the Massachuetts Bonding Co. No petitions having been received for the cha.ngi4g of the type of pavement other than that specified in the preliminary order, thnd eighty percent of the property owners having signed a petition for the construction of said improvement even though the bids were in excess of 50% of the assessed valuation of the property, the Board, hereby, makes a final award for Sheet Asphalt for the pavement of Atge3la Avenue from Marquette Avenue to LaFayette Street under Improvement Resolution No.1702, and awards the contract for same to the Williston Construction Co. at their love bid of $2I,846.35. ' City Engineer, Mr. F. G. .stray, filed tabulation of bids for the construction of grade, curb and walk on Jacob Street, Madison Street and Cedar and Miner Street under Improvement Resolution No.I797. Eston Ball Harry N. Barnes at his low bid, of $7,05I.55. The Board approved the dedication of any alley in the rear of Slicks Laundery 1 Co., off of Lincoln 1.1aFy East. Qualls, the Board approved the Petition of the, Indiana & Michigan Elextric Co., for placing of poles on streets and alleys as set forth in their petition of April IIth., 1927. This is part of the work i in connection with the removal of lines from West Division 6treet. . Upon the recommendation of Wm. F. 4Y1,11st the Board approved the installation of a 4000 lumen light at the intersection of California Avenue and Cleveland Avenue. Cost to be '45.00 per year. T on the recommendation of Vim. p F. Qualls., the Board approved the in- stallation of a 4000 lumen light at the corner '45.00 of Adams and Keller Streets at a cost of per year. The Board, this I2th., day of April I927, hereby rescinds all former action taken on Improvement Resolution No.I703 for the pavement on LaSalle Avenue from Main: Street to a point I7 feet Test. of the East Lane of lot 4 in filler's Sub., declaring same null and voids and the proceedings closed. The Board this I2th., day of Aprils 1927, hereby rescinds all former action taken on Improvement Resolution No. 1704 for the pavement on Lincoln Way West from the North Line of LaSalle avenue to a point 7 feet West of the West line of Lawndale avenue running Southerly from Lincoln Way Vest, and declares same null and void and the proceedings closed. The Board signed the contract with L. H. Webster for the construction of a local sewer on Calvert Street from dine Street to Sampson Street under Improve- ment Resolution No.I775. The Board also approved the construction Bond for said contract which bond is for 100% of the contract price or '2,572.25 signed by the Massachusetts Bonding & Insurance Co. The Board signed the contract with E. T. Tranberg for the construction of Grade and walk on LaSalle Avenue from Sunnyside Avenue to Ist. , alley East of Sunnyside Avenue under Improvement Resolution No.I777. The Board also approved the construction bond for said contract which bond is for I00% of the contract price or p236.65 signed by the American Employer s Insurance Co., of Boston, bass. Th.e'Board signed the contract with E. T. Tranberg for the construction of Grade, Curb and Walk on the North side of Indiana Avenue from Leer Street to Clyde Street under Improvement Resolution No.1778. The Board also approved the construction bond for said contract which bond is for I00% of the contract price or "MO.49 signed by the American Employer' Insurance Co., of Boston, Mass.
