This being the date set, bids were received, opened and read on the following Improvement resolutions: Improvement Resolution No. 1778 for the construction of grade, curb and walk on the North side of Indiana Avenue from Leer Street to Clyde Street. Bids as follows: Contractor Improvement Intersections E. T. Tranb erg I.09 1100 Eston Ball 1.28 I.28 Improvement Resolution No.1777 for the construction of grade and walk on LaSalle avenue from Sunnyside Avenue to the first alley east of Sunnyside Avenue. Tranberg .82 .82 Eston Ball .84 .84 Improvement Resolution No,1775 for the construction of local sewer 'On Calvert Street from Kline Street to Sampson Street. Board signed the following contracts and approved the attached Construction bonds: Contract for the 'construction of concrete pavement on Sherman.. .Avenue from N line of Bryag Street to S line of Rose Street; Bryan Street, Beale Street and Roosevelt Street from E line of Blaine Avenue to W line of Cushing Street. - Rose Street from E line of Blaine Avenue to W line of Sherman Avenue. .ALSO grade Curb and Walk on 'Sherman Avenue from S line of Alley north of Bryan Street to .S line of Dose Street; West -- of Sherman Avenue from S line of Rose Street to N line of alley S of Rose Street, all under Improvement Resolution No,179I. W?'. J. Nees Co., contractors, the total amount of the contract bei 77,585,14. The Construction Bond was also approved and signed in the amount of IOOof the contract price, signed by the Southern Surety Co.,. Contract for the pavement of alleys in Belleville Addition under Improvement resolution Noo1792. Achille C. 0olpaert, contractor, the total amount of the contract bein $89 051, 77. The construction Bond was also approved and signed in the amount of IOU of the conta%et price, signed by Metropolitan Casualty In.sur- 'ance Co., of New York. . The Board approved the following Maintenance Bonds: Maintenatneeor Guarantee Bond for the construction of the pipe sewer on Frederickson Street and Prast Street from Johnson Street to O'Brien Street''i and O'Brien Street from Prast Street to the Ist. , alley south of Frederickson _ Street under Improvement Resolution Noo1759. Bond for I0% of the contract price or $228..39 signed by the Massachusetts Bonding Co. Guarantee Bond of Carl D. Traxler for the pipe sewer on Holland Street from Meade Street to a point 70 feet east of the east line of Kaley Street under Improvement Resolution No.I627. Bond signed by U41-on. Indemnity Co. Guarantee Bond of Carl D. Traxler for the pipe sewer on Laurel Btreet from Yonroe Street to a point .I83 feet South of the ceznter line of Division. Street under Improvement Resolution No.I623. Bond signed by Union Indemnity Co. Guarantee Bond of L. H. Webster for the pipe sewer on Queen Street ' from Blaine Avenue to a point IO feet Bast of the West line of lot I39 in Northwest Addition under Improvement Resolution No.I764, Bond signed by Massachusetts Bonding Co. The Board approved the following bonds Contractors bond of $I,000.00 for Elias G. Metz signed by Alex Rupel and John E. Wray, submitted joa rtial estimate No.T for the Sewer Improvement on bheridan Avenue, Gladstone Avenue and first alley South of Division Street in accordance with the terms of the contract between thb City and the Northern Indiana Construction Co., under Improvement Resolution No.I785. Board approved and signed same in the amount of $2,392.65. Upon the reeommendation of ism. F. Qualls, the Board approved the placing of poles,i anchors and under ground conduit in Scott Street, alleynorth of Divis- ion Streetand in Leon curt East of Prairie Avenue, as outlined n the peition of the Indiana Bell Telephone Co., under date of April -Ist., 1927. City Engineer, Mr. H. G. Wray, filed plans and the Board adopted a resole- Lion for the Vacation of the Ist., alley West of Notre Dame Avenue from South lines of lots 341 and 347 in Cottrell's Ist., Addition to the North lines of said lots 341 and 347 in Cottrrlls Ist., Addition under Resolution No.I795. In the above mat ter, the Board hereby orders that on the 27th. , day of April I927, this Board will meet at it's office in the City Hall at 7-I5 P. M., to hear and receive remonstrances from all persons whose property is liable to be affected by said Vacation. -Board further orders that notices of said hearing be published on the 8th., day of Atrij and.on the I5th., day of April, 1927, in the South Bend News limes and Tribune. City Engineer, Mr. H. G. gray, filed plans and the Board adopted a resolution for the opening of Bulla Street from Portage Avenue to Medora Street under Improvement Resolution No.I793. In the above matter, the Board hereby orders that on the 27th. , day of April I9279 this Board, at it's office in the City Hall at 7=I5 P. M., will meet to hear and receive remonstrances from all persons whose property is liable to be affected by said Vacation. Board further orders that notices of said hearing be published on the 8th. , day of April and on the I5th., day of April, 1927, in. the South Bedd News Tames and Tribune. City Engineer, Mr. H. G. Wray, fil d plans and specifications and the Board adopted a resolution for the construction of a local sewer on Johnson Street, from Hamilton Street to Wilson Street and on Bergen Street from Johnson Street to Portage Avenue under Improvement Resolution No.I794. In the above matter, the Board hereby orders that on the 27th. , day of April I927, this Board, at it's office in the City Hall at 7�4I5 P. M., will meet to hear and receive remonstrances from &11 persons whose property is liable to affected by said Improvement and will decide whether the severalolots and parcels of land which will be assessed for said improvement, will be benefited in proportion to the estimate of the City Thgineer. Board further orders that notices of said hearing be published in the N ws Times and Tribune on the 8th., day of April and on the I5th., day of April, I§27. Smoger ..Sons Studebaker Corp I0..25 Holyovoss & Nye City eater Yorks 4.05 375.00 .60 7.50 34.65 621I5 3.50 This being the date set, continued hearings were had on the following Assessment rolls: Assessment roll for the pipe sewer on Laurel Street from Monroe Street to a point 183 feet South of the center line of Division Street under Improvement Resolution No-.I623. Assessment roll for the pipe sewer on Holland Street from Meade Street to a point 70 feet East of the east line of Kaley Street under Improvement Resolution No. I627. In the matter of both of the above assessment rolls, no remonstrators appeared and no writ ten remonstrances were filed and the Board being fully advises in the premises, that the benefits accruing to the several lots and parcels of land primarily assessed are equal to the amounts set opposite said lots and parcels of land on said primary assessment rolls, and de-lares said rolls, filed February 22nd., I927, in all things ratified, confirmed and approved -and the proceedings closed. Board now orders said assessment rolls delivered to the Department of Finance. Minutes of meetings held March 29th and March 30th, read and approved. Meeting adjourned at II A.
