concrete construction*
hd gravel and sand' in South Bend
I have obtained the prices of aatasegr
to ether` with the cost of bank run material: and find that by estimating, with top
figures, the increased cost of our different types of improvements will be as
follows: "
Pavement base 7V to 9f higher per square yard.
Curb 2g higher per lineal foot.
sidewalk I higher per square foot.
I am reliably informed that competion in materials may even reduce these
figures app'eeiablj: Paving costs are not high -in South Bend, as compared with other
cities of it's size,, and I am firrrily of the opinion that any increase in cost, Cleve
as a result of better materials used in our concrete, will be a good investment.
I am vitally interested. in better improvements for South Bend and. I
respectfully request that you concur in the above re eornmendtions.
Respefteully submitted,
K. G. (fray. `T
