Minutes of meetings held February I5th. , and February I6th. , 1927 read and approved. This being the date set, continued hearing was had on the Assess- ment Roll for the V'ae tion of alley between lots 66 and I0 in Henricks and Gra is Add- ition under Vacation aeso luti on No. I76,f. U-oon the request of Aaron Huguenard, attorney, hearing was continued until Tuesday, March�Ist., 1927. City Engineer, H. G. WrW, filed pa lsn and specifications and the Board adopted the following resolutions: Local sewer on Calvert 6treet from Kline Street to Sampson Street under Improvement Resolution No.1775, aradem curb and walk on LaSalle Avenue from Surmyside Avenue to the Ist. , alley east of Sunnyside Avenue udder Improvement Resolution No.I777. Grade, curb and walk on the North side of Indiana Avenue between Leer Street and Clyde 6treet under Improvement Resolution No-1778. Grade aurb and walk on the North side of Sample Street from Chapin Street to Walnut street under Improvement Resolution No.1776, In all of the above improvement resolutions, the Board hereby orders that on the 29rd. , day of March 1927, at 7=I5 P. M. , this Board will meet at its office in the City "Hall to hear and receive remonstrances from all persons whose property is liable to be assessed for said improvements. Board further orders that notices of said hearings be published on the 4th. , day of March and on the Ilth. day of ITarch 1927, in the South Bend News Times and Tribune, and that notices be mailed to property owners according to law. City Engineer, H. G. Wray, filed plans and the Board adopted a resolution for the condemnation of property in the opening of Bulls, Street from Portage Avenue to Medora Street under Condemnation Resolution No.I778. In the above matter, the Board hereby �,rders that on the 23rd., day of March 1927, at 7-I5 P. M., this Board will meet at its office in the City Hall to hear and receive remonstrances from all persons whose property is liable to sae affedted by said condemnation. Assessment roll for the pipe sewer on Magnolia Street from Indiana Avenue to a point 462 feet north of the north line of Indiana Avenue under Improvement Resolution No.1739. L. H. Webster, contractor, 1,007.70. In all of the above assessment rolls, the Board hereby orders U 0 0 61 #17 Tuesday, February 22nd., 1927. that on the.I6th., day of March, 1927, this Board, at -it's office in the City Hall at 7-I5 P. M. , will meet to hear and receive remonstrances from all persons whose property has been assessed for said improvements and will decide whether the lots and parcels of land have been or will be benefited in the amounts shown on said rolls or in a greater or less degree. Board further orders that notices of said hearings be published on the Ist. � day of March and on the 8th. , day of %larch, 1927, in the South Bend News Times and Tribune. The Board approved the following Bonds: G-aarantee Bond for Rocco Simeri for the construction of pipe sewer on cakside Street from Aliami Street to the first alley west of Dale Street. Bond for I0" of the contract price or I60.07 signed by the Columbia Casualty Co. Guarantee Bond for I. 7,7. Staples for the construction of pipe sewer 1 on Jackson Street from Indiana Avenue to Calvert Street. Bond for IO - of the contract price or "347.20 signed by Fidelity and Deposit Co.. Guarantee Bond for I. 1'7. :Staples for the construction of pipe sewer on'Pulaski Street from Indiana Avenue to Calvert Street under Improvement Resolution No.I622. Bond for I0% of the contract price or 355.86 signed by Fidelity and Deposit Co., of Maryland. _Excava.tion Bond for gilliam Turnock for 'I,000.00 signed by Columbia j Casualty Co. The Board approved the recommendation of Vim. F. Qualls for the install- ation of a traffic ligna.l at the intersection of I,aFayette and Sample Streets. Same ordered. r The Board approved the recommendation of Vim. F. galls to allow the Indiana Bell Telephone Co., permission to place under ground conduit and rebuild manholes in the alleys west of Main Street and North of Vlayne Street, as requested in the their petition of February I8th., I927. Upon the recommendation of City Attorney, I. S. Romig, the Board hereby orders that I00.00 be paid Mr. Beatty for damages sustained in the opening of Yedora Street. Same to be paid out of appropriation No.239 for awarus and indemnities. The Board appointed the following men as members of the Board of appraisors to advise with the Board of Works in determining the amount of damages to be paid in connection with the condemnation of certain properties for the North- west Trunk Sewer: I�r.
