Board met in regular session at 9 A. Tr. All members present.
The Board approved the Garbage Contract Bond of I00000:00 signed
by Ephriam C. Lantz and Alva Lantz, as Lantz-Br.os., and The Standard Accident Insur-
ance Co., by John H. Lloyd, Attorney in fact.
Upon the recommendation of ,'Im. F. ('ual ls, the Board approved
the payment of 33 lights in Ridgedale Addition, same to be turned on October Ist.,
I927, or an amount of 247.50 out of the I927 a.ppropription.
TTpon the recommendation of 77m. F. Qa.alls, the Board a pproved
the petition. of the Indd ana Roll Telephone Co., for the placement of poles, anchors
and underground conduit in the alley south of Mishawaka Avenue, east of Eddy Street.
Upon the recommendation of 7,7m. 7. 'walls, the Board approved the
petition of the Indiana Bell Telephone Co., for the placement of poles, anchors and
underground conduit in the alley west of Yiehigan Street South from Bronson,. between
Bronson and Sample Streets.
Upon the recommendation of ?m. F. Qualls.. the Board approved the
petition of the Indiana Bell Telephone Co., for the placement of poles and anchors
and relocating poles in the alley south of 'Wayne Street and the alleys North and j
South of Madison Street Vest from Eddy Street.
The deed for the part of the property in Leeper Park purchased
from Andrew AndArson, Forma DuShane, Janes A. Du Shane, Jennie Putnam and 11"illis
Putnam, for the sum of 117,000,.00, approved and ordered delivered to the Department
of Public Parks.

This being the date set, hearing was had on the Condemnation
Resolution for the opening of Sherman Avenue to Riverside Drive under Condemnation
Resolution No.I768.
In the above matter, no remonstrators were present and no written
remonstrance was filed, and the Board being fully advised in the matter, hereby
decides to sustain all former action taken on said resolution and declare same in
all. things ratified, confirmed and approved.
Tfhe Board now orders a list or roll to be prepared of all owners or
holders of property and of valuable interests therein, sought to be taken or to be
injuriously affected, which list or roll shall also describe the property beneficially
affected.
City Fngineer, 1r. v. ,; G. ''ray, filed plans and specifications and
the Board adopted a resolution for the constraction of a Trunk Sdwer, known as -the
Sherman Avenue Trunk Sewer System under Improvement Resolution No.I77I.

meetto hear and receive remonstrances from all persons whose property will be affected
by said Tmprovement. Board further orders that notiEes of said hearing shall. be
published on the 24th., day of Janufiry and on the 3Ist., day of January, I927, in
the South Bend News Times and Tribune.

of the Stephenson fg. Co.,, appeared before the Board regarding the matter of a
track for the use of thb. Stephenson T.Tflg. CO., the Sibley Me -chine GO., -?.nd the Hoel
Co.., along -,the proposed Tutt Street vacation. !"ayor Yontoomery was rr. esent and
the Ypyor and the Board assured these interested parties of the co-operation of the
administration in securing from the New Fork Central Railroad Co., the desired service.

asphalt rmvements having a specified thickness of 2 a inches; 3� for all asphalt pave-
ments having a specified thickness of 3 inches per square yard of finisr.ed pavement

Upon the recommendation of t"m. P'. Qualls, the Board approved the installation
of the following lights:

Id -six thousand lumen lights on the Jefferson Bridge and a cost of A50.00 each
Viper year or $500.00.
S- four thousand lumen light at Bellevue and Hildreth Street.
I- four thousand lumen light at Robetts and Ruskin Street.
Both . of the above at a cost of 45.00 per year or $90.00 for both lights. name
ordered.
The Board approved the drive way for Serj=ice Station at the corner of Sample
Street and Franklin Street owned by H. B. VanNess.

for the vacation of the North and South t=lleys in Belleville Third 7nit under Vacation I
Resolution No..I772.

receive remonstrances from all persons whose property is liable to be affected by said
proceedings and will decide whether the lots or parcels of land rave been_ or will be
benefited by this vacation. Board further orders that notice o" this hearing be published;.
