Board met in regular session at 9 A. V. All members present.

read and approved.
The ,Board approved the following bonds:

The Board approved the following Guarantee bonds:
Guarantee bond of Reith Riley Construction Co., for the construction
of pavement on Broadway from Miami 6treet to Marine Street under Improvement

Representatives of the Indiana Bell -Telephone Co., appeared before
the Board with a petition to construct ash openings and coal schutes in the alley
north of the building located at 227 S . Vain Street. It will be necessary for
the telephone Company to occupy about 2feet and 6 inches of this alley and the
Board granted this permission with the understanding that the city would not be
held liable in any way for any accident which may accur, at this place.
- Upon the r esommendation of a"r. "'m. F. Qualls, the Board granted
the Chicago, South Pend and Northern Indiana Railway "Co., permission to erect
poles at the corner of Michigan and "ashington Streets to take care of the trolley
wires and thereby eliminate the hazae-dous condition of the wires on the brick
building used as the street car station.
Upon the recommendation of sir. Ernest Young, the Board approved the
purchase of the hardware for River Park Fire Station from G. F. PrTeyer & Sons, whose'
bid of I92.50 was the lowest bid for this material.

The plat contains twenty-five (25) lots numbered from-
-�hirty-six, (36) to fifty-six.(56) inclusive, and from One Hundred Twenty six
(I26) to One hundred Trrenty-nine (I29) inclusive.
The size of the lots and the width of the streets and drives
are marked on the plat in feet and fractions thereof.
Lot "A" is reserved as a private passageway for pedestrians.
The streets and alleys in this addition, as shown on the plat,
are dedicated to the public for use as public highways.

The Board ordered-C�erk to prepare advertisement for proposals for
street signs, appropriation for th.e cost of same '-awing been included in the I927
Budget.

Board let in regular session -at 7-I5 P. Y. All members present.
This being the date set, hearing was had on the Assessment roll for
the pavement on +rilliam Street from Washington Avenue to Colfax Avenue under
Improvement resolution No.I636.
In the above matter, Louis LaPierre, representing Clara L. LaPierre,
appeared before the Board and remonstrated against the .assessment of I460.52, asking
the Board to exercise their right of assessing back 150 feet from the improved
property, the LaPierre lot being a corner lot. After hearing the facts of the
case; the Board decides to take the matter under advisement until December I7th.
I926, when a special meeting: of the Board will be held. ,
j This being the date set, hep_ring was had on the assessment roll for the
pavement on Broadway from Miami Street to Marine Street under Improvement Resolution
No.I727.
In the above matter, property oviners appeared remonstrating against
the condition of this pavement. A written remonstrance was read and filed, which
was signed b t e Chairman of the r
g y h ommittee of Property owne� s on this street.
Upon the recommendation of (."ity Engineer, T1,, . v. G.. Tray, the Board decides to
withhold 2,000.00 from the contractors -in order that the property owners may be
protected in this matter and in order, too, that the intersection charge of
822.02 may be paid out of the fund appropriated for that purpose this year.
The Board, therefore, decides that all of the lots and parcels of
land which have been assessed for said improvement, have been or will be benefited.
in the amounts shown on said roll and therefore, declares said roll, filed December
8th.2 I926, in all things ratified, confirmed and approved and the proceedings
closed. City Controller Y'r. Rudolph Ackerman; instructed to withhold 2,000.00
on this roll from Reith Ailey Construction Co., until released by the Board of
Public 'Yorks. Board orders said roll delivered to the Department of Finance.
