vacation resolutions: This being the date set, hearings were had on the following
Vacation Resolution'No,1753 for the vacation of the aaley�,
between lots I2 and 13 in �tudebakerts-Sub., from Kosciuszko Street to the West line
of the alley East of Kosc-1,uszko Street.
Vacation of the alley west of Meade Street from Washington
Street to the -South line of the first alley north of Washington Street under vacation
resolution No.I752.
Vacation of the alley South of Lawton Street from Kaley Street
to the west line of the alley east of Kaley Street, under Vacation Rdsollation No.I75I. '1
In all of -the _ above matters, no remonstrators appeared and
no written remonstrance was filed: -The Board, therefore, decide s, to sustain all f ormer
action taken on said vacation resolutions and -declares the above described property
vacated.. and the above resolutions in all things ratified, confirmed and approved..
The Board now orders that a list or roll be prepared of all
owners or holders of property and of valuable interests therein sought to be taken or
to be injuriously affected which list shall also describe the property benificially
affected.
This being the date set, continued hearing was had on the
Improvement Resolution No.I750 for the grading of the alley south of Dubail Avenue
from Kemble 'treet to Douglas Street.
In the above matter, only one property owner appeared a)3ainst
this improvement. After hearing this interested party, the Board decides to rescind
all former action on said resolution and declare same null and void and the proceedingw
closed.

This being the date set, heeringwas had on the pavement of
the Ist., alley East of Tecumseh Avenue from Pokagon Street South and East to 2nd.,
2.1ley East of Tecumseh Avenue under Improvement Resolution No,1754.
- In the above matter, remonstrators appeared but no written
remonstrance was filed. One property owner appeared in favor of this 'improvement but
there were four: property owners against the improvement who protested on the grounds
that the improvement was not needed just as this time.
After hearing all interested parties, the Board decides to
rescind on former action on said resolution and declare same in all things null and
void and the proceedings closed.
This being the date set, hearing was had on the resurfacing
of Lafayette Street from north line of the -alley north of North Shore Drive to the
South line of 'Marquette Avenue under Improvement Resolution No.I755.
In the above matter, no remonstrators appeared and no written
ernonstrance was filed and the Board being fully advised in the matter, finds that the

The Board" further` orders that on the I6th., Day of November, I926, this
Board will receive sealed- proposals for resurfacing Lafayette Street from North
line of, al ley north of North Sore Drive to South line of Varggette .Avenue under
Improvement resolution No.I755`. Notices _of said proposal to be published in the
News"Times and Tribune on the 5th., day of November and on the I2th., day of November,
19216.
No petitions having been filed for"a change of type of pavement other
than that specified in the preliminary order for the pavement of Twentysecond Street
under Improvement Resolution No 1742, the Board this 3rd. , day of November, I926.,
hereby makes a. final -order for sheet asphalt as the type of pavement with which said
street shall be improved" and awards the contract for said improvement to the
Williston construction Co._, at their low bid of 6,533.92.
No petitions having been filed for changing the type cf pavement other
than that specified in the preliminary order for the pavement of the $th., d.11ey East
of Michigan Street - from- Ohio to Keasey Street under Improvement Resolution No,1738,
the Board this 3rd. , day of November, 1926, hereby makes a final order for concrete
as t he type of pavement with which said alley shall be improver, and awarder the
contract for said work to Hoban and Roach at their bid of 748.60.
This being the date set, hearings were -had on the following assessment
rolls:

to Harriett Street under Improvement Resolution No.I584.
Pavement -on Grant Street from Division Street to N. J. & I. R. R., under

Improvement Resolution No.16I7.
Pavement on LaSalle Avenue from Eddy Street to Sunnyside Avenue under
Improvement Resolution No.I6II.
Pavement on Palmer Blvd:, from Sunnyside Avenue to East l ine of Madison
Park Addition under Improvement Resolution No.I7I2.
Pavement on Madison Street from alley east rf Walsh Street to Sunnyside
Avenue under Improvement Resolution No.17I4.
In all of the above matters, no remonstrators appeared and no written
remonstrance was filed and -Ater hearing sl interested persons and being fully advised
in the matters, the Board finds that the benefits accruing to. the - several lots and
1 parcels of land primarily asses -bed for said improvements are equal to the estimated
cost of said improvements as reported by the City Engineer, and therefore, the Board
declares said assessment rolls, filed October 27th., I926, in all things ratified,
confirmed and approved and the -proceedings closed. Said rolls are hereby ordered
transmitted to .the Department of Finance.

City Engineer, ?"r. H. G. Wray, filed the following Assessment Rolls:
Grade, curb, walk and pavement on Emerson Street from Mishawaka Avenue to
Wall Street; Wall Street from Emerson '--venue to Harriett Street; Chester Street from
Emerson Avenue to Harriett Street under Improvement Resolution No.I668.
Grade., curbjr walk, pavement, water connections and sewer in C o4u.illard
goods Addition under Improvement Resolution No.I652.
In both o f the matterg, the p rope rty owners having waived all right of
objeftion, and the Board being fully advised in the premises, finds that the lots and
parcels of land shown on said rolls have been benef i to d in the amounts as shown " on
said rolls and are equal -to the estimated cost as reported by the City Engineer, and
the Board, therefore, declares said -rolls in all things ratified, confirmed and
1 approved and the proceedings closed. Said rolls are hereby ordered transmitted to
the Department of Finance.

In all of the above matters, the Board hereby orders that on
the IOth., 'day of November, I927, this Board at it's office in the City Hall at
7-I5 P. M... will meet to hear and receive'remonstrances from all persons whose
property has been assessed- for -said improvements and will decide whether the
benefits to the property assessed on said rolls -for said improvements are equal
to the amounts as shown on said rolls. Board further orders that notices of said
hearings be published on the 5th., day of November and on the 6th., day of November
I926, in the News Times and Tribune.

Board signed the contract with I. '". Staples for the construction
of a local sewer on Nash Street from Indiana Avenue to a point 462 feet north of
the north line of Indiana Avenue under Improvement Resolution'No:I740. Board
approved the construction bond for 10099 of the con#ract price, I,069,80 signed by
the Fidelity and Deposit Company of Maryland.
Board also approved the assignment of the contract for the
Nash Street Sewer under Improvement Resolution No.I740 from I. Y% Staples to L'. H.
Webster. The constru tion bond also accepted in the amount of I1069.80 signed by
Fidelity and Deposit 'ompany of Maryland.
City Engineer, Yr. H. G.14-ay, submitted the following partial
estimates and the Board approved same:

Street from Sunnyside A enue to Harriett- Street in- accordance with the terms of the
contract between the c.iTy and John F. Hipskind, contractor, under improvement -
resolution No.I649. Board signed and approved same in the amount of 3,005.07.
Upon the recommendation of Vim. F. Qualls, the Board approved
the removal of lights #I062 and #I064 in 'Howard Park as the d rive way where these
lights are located has been discontinued. This means a saving to the city of 56.00
per year.
Upon the recommendation of -4m. F. Qual is , the Board approved
winter schedule of lights for city parks until the opening of the parks next Spring.';!
Upon the recommendation of � m. F. Qualls, the Board approved bhe
change of the light in the center of the block between'Wall and Mishawaka Avenue to- 'I
the corner of Wall and Mishawaka Avenue, game ordered.
Upon the recommendation of City Engineer, Mr. H. G. Wray., the
Board apM owed the -grade of the alley west of Miami Street from Irvington Avenue
to Fairview t'venue.
