Board met in regular session at 9 A. M. All members present.
Minutes of meetings held October 12th., snd October I3th., I926, read and
approved.
In the -absence of Mr. H. G. V'aray, City Engineer, Mr..R. L. Pike, Assistant
City Engineer, filed plans and specifications and the Bo Wd adopted the following
improvement resolutions: ,
Sewer on Donmoyer Avenue from Michigan Street to Fellows Street under
Improvement Resolution No.I756.
Pavement of the first alley South of Jefferson Blvd., from St. Joseph Street
to the first alley East of St. Joseph Street under Improvement Resolution No.I757.
In the matter of the improvement resolution No.I756 for the construction of
a sewer on Donmoyer Avenue From Michigan Street to Fellows Street, the Board hereby
orders that on the IOth., day of November, I926, this Board, at itts office in the
City Hall will meet to hear and receive remonstrances from all persons whose property
is affected by said resolution. Board further orders that notice of said hearing be
published on the 22nd., day of October and on the 29th., day of October, I9263,'in
the News Times and South Bend Tribune. Board further orders that notices of said
resolution be also given to property owners according to law.
In the matter of the pavement of the first alley sour. of Jefferson Blvd.,
from St. Joseph Street to the f irst alley East of St. Joseph °Street, the property
owners waived all objections on and in defense to any defect in the proceedings -of
said resolution. Therefore the Board received, opened and considered sealed proposals
for the pavement of said alley as follows:

pavement of Twenty Second Street from South line of lots 65 and 66 Jefferson Heights

The Board approved the plat of Wright*s first Addition to South Bend with
the following dedication:
Frights first addition to South Bend is located as -followsf ,.Beginning at a
point I26I.26 feet north and I347 feet East of center of Section."34, township
Ran 38 North,ge 2 East, thence south I73 feet, thence east 262 feet, thence north I73
feet, thence west 262 feet to the place of beginning. The lots are numbered from I-
to inclusive anal the deminsions are marked in"feet'on the annexed plat. The alleys
are hereby dedicated to the public for public use.

South Bend, Indiana- with the following dedication:
"The above plat is a true plat of an addition to be known as' Huey Heights- 2nd.,

1(4) of Section Thirty -.four (34)_Township Thirty Eight (38) North, Range Two (2) East

Avenue from Keller to Wilton Street under Improvement Resolution No.I692.' Bond signed;
by the Inland Bonding Co., for 10% of the amount of the contract price, 1.447.28.

Th Board signed the contract and approved the construction bond -

the Refth Riley construction Co., for the pavement on Broadway from Miami` Street
to Marine Street under Improvement Resolution No.I727. Construction Bond -signed
by the Southern Surety Co., for I00% of the amount of the contract, 4,474.22.
City Engineer, filed the following Assessment Rolls:
Local sewer on South Street from Sunnyside Avenue to Longfellow Avenue;
under Improvement resolution RTo.I649,
Localsewer on Monroe Street from Sunnyside Avenue to Harriett.Street
under Improvement Resolution No.I648.
Local sewer on Sunnyside Avenue from Belmont Avenue to Monroe Street
under Improvement Resolution No.1647.
Local sewer on Longfellow Avenue from Mishawaka Avenue to South Street,
under Improvement Resolution No.I639,
In all of the above matters, the Board hereby orders that on :then,
27th., day of October, I926, this Board at it's office in the City Nall will meet
to hear and receive remonstrances from all persons interested in said rolls or whose
property is affected by said improvements and will decide whether the lots -or tracts
of land have been or will be benefited to the extent of the amounts shown onsaid
rolls. Board further orders that notices of said hearing be mailed to property
owners shown on said rolls but due to the fact that all of the above improvements
were waived, publication of the notice of hearings is not necessary.
City Engineer, filed the following Assessment rolls:
Pavement on Marietta Street from Keasey Street to Broadway under
Improvement resolution No.I7I6.
Pavement on California Avenue from Blaine Avenue to 6ancome Street
under Improvement Resolution No.I695.
Pavement on Walnut Street from Indiana Avenue to Prairie Avenue
under Improvement Resolution No.I6I6.
In all of the above matters, the Board hereby orders that on the
27th., day of October, I926, this Board at it's office in the City Nall will -meet
to hear and receive remonstrances from all persons interested in said rolls or whose
property is affected by said improvements and will decide whether the lots or tracts
of land have been or will be benefited in the amounts as shown on said roll or in a
greater or less degree. Board further orders that notices of said hearings -be publishes
in the News Times and Tribune on the 22nd., day of October and on the 23rd., day of.
October, 1926.

No petitions having been filed for a change of type of pavement other
than that specified in the preliminary order for the pavement of Catalpa Avenue,
under Improvement Resolution No.I69I, the Board this I9th., day of October I926
hereby, makes a final order for sheet asphalt as the type of pavement with which
said street shall be improved and awards the contract for said improvement to The
Reith Riley Construction Co., at their low bid of 13,648.76.
City Engineer filed tabulation of bids for the pavement of Angell&

Bids having been received for the pavement on Angella' Avenue from
Lafsyette Street'to Marquette Avenue under Improvement Resolution No.I702, the
Board this I9th., day of October, 1926, hereby makes a preliminary order for sheet
asphalt as the type of pavement with which said shall be improved and -sets the
second dayf-Novyepber, 1926, as the time' when the-Board-�will either pass o -petitions
