I j The Board approved the Guarantee Bond of H; W. Reed for the constru.etion of pavement on Roberts'Street under Improvement Resolution No.I608; Bond signed"by the ' Southern Surety Co., for I0% of the amount of the contract price, which anounts to 429.69. Monthly reports of the Building Department for the months of August and September 1926 placed on file. Board signed the following contracts and approved the construction bonds I on the followings John F. Hipskind for the construction of a sewer on Donmoyer Street from High Street to a point 152 feet west of the center line of Miami Street under Improve - went Resolution No.I735. Construction Bond for- I00% of the contract price signed by The Globe Indemnity Co., approved and signed by the Board. John F. Hipskind for the construction of a sewer on Fox Street from the -alley 1west of Clyde Street to Caroline Street under Improvement Resolution-No.I734 Construct oY Bond for I00% of the contract price signed by the Globe Indemnity Co., approved and signed by the Board. City Engineer, Mr. H. G . Wray, filed the following Assessment Rolls: • �d 11 Assessment Roll for the Grade, Curb and Walk Improvement on' ilber Street from Lincoln Way West to Elwood Avenue under Improvement resolution No.I565. Assessment Roll for the pavement on Phillippa Street from Division Street to N. J. I. & I. R. R. Co., under Improvement Resolution No.I6I9. In both of the above matters the Board hereby orders that on the 20th., day of, October, I926, - this Board at it's office in the City Hall at 7 I5 _P M , will" meet to decide whether the lots and parcels of land which have been assessed on said rolls have been or will be benefited to the amounts as shown on said rolls. Board further orders that notices of said hearing be -published in the News'Times and Tribune on the I4th. , day of October and on the I5th., day of October, 1926. Board further orders that notices of said hearing be also mailed to property owners. City Engineer, Mr. H. G. Wray, filed the following Assessment Rolls for Waiver jobs: Pavement on Bronson Street from Eddy Street to 6unnyside Avenue under !I Improve -gent Resolution No.I570. i Pavement on Wayne Street from Harriett Street to -!'ighteenth Street under Improvement Resolution No.I597. • Pipe Sewer on Cedar Street from the Wiest, Line of North f,nnyside Add. to Harriett Street under Improvement Resolution No.I656. In all of the above matters, the Board orders that on the Nth. , day ofIl 208 Tuesday., October 12th. , 1926. i October, I926, this Board at itts office in the City Hall at 7-I5 P. M., will hear and receive all persons whosenproperty is affected by said improvement and will decide Whether the lots or -tracts of land have been. or will be benefited in the amounts as show on said rolls. Fray, filed plans and specifications and the Board adopted the following resolutions: Vacation -Resolution No.I75I for the vacation of the -first alley south of Lawton Street from Klley Street to the West line of the alley East of'Kaley Street. Vacation Resolution No.I752 for the vacation of the first alley west of Meade Street "from'W"hington Avenue to the south line of the first alley ,north of Washington Avenue. Vacation Resolution No.I753 for the vacation of the alley between lots I2 and I3-in Studebakerts'Sub., from Kosciuszko street to the West line of the alley East of Kosciuszko Street. In all'of the above resolutions, the Board hereby orders that on the 3rd., day of November, I926, this Board at it's office in the City Hall at 7=15 P.-M., will hear and receive remonstrances from all persons whose property may be affected - by said resolutions. Board further orders that notice of said hearings be' published on the 14th., day of October and -on the 2Ist., day of October, 1926,'in the News Times and Tribune, and notices be sent to property owners according to law. The Board approved the following recommendations from Wm. F. Quall s: The Installation of the Business District Ornamental fixtures at the corner of Oolfax Avenue #ust east of Michigan. The installation of one light on the north side of Colfax at the new Theater building -and one light on the south side of Colfax near the rear of the new Poledor Building. j The removal of the two five light cluster -lighting fixtures'at-Colfax and Michigan, The 5 light cluster costs-50.00. The business district ornamental lights -to 66"st'57.50 each per year, making a tetal difference for the two lights I5.00 per year. Board approved and signed same in the amount of 5,740.34. The Board approved the petition of Harry Polis to use a space of about 2 feet over the street line for excavation at his building on the corner of Broadway i and Michigan Street. In the above matter, the Board hereby orders, that on the I3th., day of October,. Board met in regular session at 7-I5 P. P,i. All members present. This being the date set, hearing was had on the assessment roll for the pipe- i sewer on Cedar Street from 1. L. North Sunnyside Addition to Harriett Street under improvement resolution No.1656. In the above matter.-Yr. Walter McInerny appeared in the interest of the Securities Investment Co., and the Board decides to continue hearing until October 20th., I926. This being the date set, hearings were had. on the. following Assessment rolls: Assessment roll for the pavement of the first alley between Yonroe _ Street and 1 South Street from -Michigan street to the alley East of laic)Aigan Street. under Improvement Resolution No.I548. Assessment roll for the pavement on Roberts Street from Mishawaka Avenue to Ruski Street under Improvement Resolution No.I608. In both of the above matters, no remonstrators appeared and no written remonstrance was filed and the Board, being fulling advised in the premises, find `that the lots" - and ia reels of land assessed on said rolls have been b.enefi.ted in the amounts shown on s aid rolls. The Board therefore, d ecides to sustain all former action on said . resolutions, and declares said rolls, filed Oetober 5th., I926, in .all 'things ratified confirmed and approved and the proceedings closed. This being the date set, hearingw as had on the assessment roll for the pavement on Oakland Street from Mishawaka Avenue to Northside Boulevard under Improvement Resolution No.I66I. In the above matter, ,no remonstrators appeared and no written remonstrance was filed, and the Board being fully advised in the matter, finds that the lots and parcel of land assessed for said improvement have been benefited in the amounts as shown 'on - said roll. Therefore, -the Board decides to sustain all former action on said resolutio s and declares said roll, filed October 6th., I926, in all things ratified., confirmed and approved and the proceedings closed. Wray, filed the following assessment rolls: Assessment roll for the curb, sidewalk and pavement on'Esther Street from Jefferson Blvd., to 'ayne Street under Improvement Resolution No.I596.
