If you have any questions, please feel free to call me at 235-5915. cc: Liz Horvath John Helak Chris Pemberton AlYROVED Ilikat-d of I'lublic workii NOTICE TO BIDDERS SALE OF ABANDONED VEHICLES Notice is hereby given that the Board of Public Works of the City of South Bend, Indiana, will receive sealed bids until the hour of 9:30 a.m., local time, on April 10, 2018, in the Board of Public Works Office, 227 West Jefferson Blvd., Ste. 1316, South Bend, Indiana, for the sale of approximately sixteen (16) abandoned vehicles, as is. Bids received after that time and date will be returned unopened. Said vehicles are located at SMS PauI's Auto Yard at 201 West Sherwood, South Bend, Indiana, and are available for viewing on Friday, April 6, 2018 and Monday, April 9, 2018 prior to the bid opening, between the hours of 3:45 p.m, and 4:30p.m. Bidders may bid on any or all vehicles listed on the Abandoned Vehicles for Sale form, but the individual bid amounts must be listed on the line indicated on the form for each vehicle. Bids must be submitted on the Department of Code Enforcement Abandoned Vehicles for Sale form, which will be provided at the time of the viewing of the vehicles. All of the bidder information must be completed on the form and it must be submitted in a sealed envelope with the name of the bid, "Abandoned Vehicles", and the name of the bidder on the outside of the envelope. Any bids received that are not on the proper form will be rejected. Terms are cash. The Board intends to award the sale of the vehicles to the highest and best bidders, and the Board reserves the right to reject any or all bids. Successful bidders must contact the Department of Code Enforcement by telephone for an appointment to pay for the vehicles they were awarded. At that time an appointment will be set up for the removal of the vehicle(s) from the lot. There will be no stripping of parts on the lot and the lot shall be left clean. The vehicle(s) must be removed from the storage lot within five (5) business days from the date of the award letter from Code Enforcement, or a $15.00 daily storage fee will be assessed for each vehicle. If vehicle(s) awarded are not removed from the premises at 201 West Sherwood within fifteen (15) days of the award, the bid will be automatically rescinded. Said vehicles have been acquired under the provisions of Indiana Code 9-9-1.6-1 through 9-9-1.6-19 and Ordinance 6971-81 passed by the Common Council of the City of South Bend.
