G. ,":'ray,, filed plans and specifications and the Board adopted and approved the following Improvement Resolutions, property owmsrs waiving all rights as the legality of same: Improvement Resolution N0.T73T for the construction of a local sewer on Edison Avenue from the south line of lot 635 Belleville 3rd., Unit, to the center of the alley south of Division `'treet, Improvement Resolution No.1732 for the construction of a local sewer on Albert revenue from the south line of lot 523 Bellew x lle 3rd. , Unit to the center line of the alley south of Division �'treet. Improvement Resolution No. I733 for the construction of a local sewer on Esther treet and Devon Circle. City Engineer submitted the following partial estimates: Partial Estimate No.2 for the Phillippa "treet grade 'curb and walk improvement from Indiana "venue to Lelaciare `'treet under Improvement Resolution No.I555. Board apT oved same and signed in the amount of 381.40. -lex Bukowski, Cont ractor. Partial estimate 10.1 .for the Grade Curb and walk on Huey Street from Elwood -'venue to Keller Street under Improvement Resolutionho.I670. Board approved and signed same in -the amount of 2.9677.75. Eston Ball, Contractor. Partial Estimate No.I for the pavement of. Brookfield Street from "ashington Avenue to Lincoln 1v*ay yiest, under Improvement Resolution Tdo/1620. Board approved and signed same in the amount of I7,242.42. `'illiston Construction Co., Uontractors. Partial Estimate No.I for the pavement on alley between Fisher Street and Dunham Street from "alnut Street to St. @asmir�ts Court under Improvement Resolution No.I690. Board approved and signed same in the amount of I,149.59. r. 7. T ranberg, Contractor. Board approved the petition of the Indiana Bell Telephone Co, , for setting poles in Lincoln Manor rddition, ,1.7hich was filed August 30th., I926. Board also approved the petition of the Indiana & n-Tichigan Electric Co., to extend their pole lines on Ple asant 6treet. Board approved the construction Bond of "alter Grolubski signed by the Yassachusetts Bonding Co. Upon the request of Eston B 11, uontractor the Board approved the extension of time on the Washington ;=venue ontract under improvement Resolution' No.164I. Extension until October I5th. , I926 allowed by the Board. "Fray, makes the following report: There are 17 resident free -holders on Tlarietta Street, I2 of whom have signed the peition for sheet asphalt. This number constitutes a majority • • • Tuesday, August 3Ist . , 1926 The Board, therefore, this 3Ist. , day of August, 1926, hereby makes a final order for sheet asphalt as the type of pavement with which said street shall be improved and awards the contract for said work to the . Albert Construction Co., at their low bid of 8,767.12. Petitions having been received for the change of type of pavement other than that specified in the preliminary order, City Engineer, 1'�r. N. G. V11ray, makes the following r e port : There are 3I resident freeholders abutting on this street, only ten of whom have signed a. peition for asphaltic concrete. This does not constitute a majority of signatures, therefore, the Board hereb;;- makes a final order for brick on gravel as the type of pavement with. which said street shall be improved and awards the contract for said work to Harry i\r . Street frorp Cglbert Street to Feting Avenue under Improvement.Resolution ho.I624. In both of the above matters, the Board hereby orders that on the I5th., day of September, I926, this Board at it's office in the City Ha11 at 7-I5 P. 7,, will hear and receive all persohs interested in said rolls and will decide whether the lots or tracts of land assessed on said rolls have been or will be benefited in the amounts as shown on roll. Board further orders that notices of said hearing be published according to lays on the $th., day of September and on the IOth. , day of I eptember, 1926, in the South Bend News Times and Tribune. City Engineer, 1-r. H. G. VTray, filed assessment roll for the Trunk Sewer on Fairview Yain trunk hewer under Improvement Resolution No.I544. In the b ove matter, the Board hereby orders that on the 8th., day of September, I926, this Bomrd at it's office in t're City Hsll at 7-T5 P. n'T.,. will hear and receive all persons interested in or affected by said rolls and will determine whether the lots or tracts of land assessed on said roll have been or will be benefited in the amounts as shown on said roll. Board further orders that notice of said hearing be published on the 3rd. , day of September and on the 4th. , day of September, I926, In the Guth Bend News Times and Tribune. The Board approved the Plat of A. C. Jsin's Addition with the following dedication: "The annexed plat of A. C . Jain's Addition to- the City of South Bend, Indiana, contains I2 lots numbered from I to I2 inclusive. The size of the lots and the widths of the streets and alleys are marked on the plat in feet and fractions thereof.
