Bids having been received for the pavement of Fairview Avenue from
Yichigan street tp Main Street under Improvement Resolution No.1682, the Board
this 4th., day of August, I926, makes a preliminary order for Asphaltic Concrete
as the type of pavement with w?-ich said street shall be improved and sets the
I7th.., day of August, 1926, a s the day on which _said Board will either pass on
petitions for the changing of type of pavement, award said contract or reject all
bids.
The Board signed the contract ,,ith the Reith xiley construction Co.,
for the -pavement of Irvington Pvenue from the alley East of Erskine Blvd., to
PTiami Street under Improvement Resolution No.1663. Board also approved the
bond for the construction of same, it being 1007 of the amount of the contract
price, I5,474.73 signed by The Sputhern Surety Co.
The Board signed the contract vith'the Reith. Riley Uonstruction Co.,
for the pavement of Fairview avenue from the Lo st Line of Studebaker Place t ddition
to Yiami Street under Improvement Resolution 7To.I662. Board also approved the
construction bond for same in the amount of T4,839.68, it being 100 ,, of the
j amount of the contract price.
The Board approved hhe following bills for the testing of asphalt
paving mixtures from the Van Trump Testing Labrato_ry. These bills to be paid
out of the Intersection fund and the amounts u;ill„be collected on the Assessment
rolls, which according to advise from ITr. Romig, 8ity=ittorney, will be satisfactory.

under Improvement Resolution No.I720 and this being a waiver job, the contract

or reject all bids. The Albert construction o., being the lowest bidder is hereby
give a preliminary contract at their loin bid of I4,455.56.
Bids having been received for the pavement of LaSalle Avenue under
Improvement Resolution T,o.I7II, the Board this IOth.., day of august, I926, makes
a preliminary order for sheet asphalt as the type of pavement with which said street
shall be improved and sets the 24th., day of August, I926, as the time viben said

specified in the preliminary order, award said contract or reject all bicb . The

that specified in the preliminary order, award contract or reject all bids. The
Albert Construction Co., being the lowest bidder is hereby given a preliminary
contract for same at their low bid of 22, 342.98.

remonstrance filed against the Almond Court pavement improvement:
5 resident freeholders on the street
2 resident freeholders signed the remonstrance
3 resident freeholders who did not sign the remonstrance, leaving a
majority in favor of said improve -Trent.
