Hinkle absent. `.This being the day set, hearings on the following improvement resolutions were had: Improvement Resolution No.I687 for the pavement of ''Washington Avenue from-7sther Street to Jacob Street. Improvement Resolution No.I690 for the pavement of the alley between Dunham Street 9 nd Fisher Street from alnut Street to St. C armer + s U ourt . Improvement Resol„u.tion T o.I692 for the pavement of the Center of Portage Avenue from Keller Street to 'Filson Street. Improvement Resolution No.I7II for the pavement of LaSalle Avenue from Eddy Street to Sunnyside Avenue. Improvement Resolution No.I7I4 for the pavement of V7adison Streeet from the Alley East of I.-;'a,lsh Street to Sunnyside Avenue. Improvement Resolution 7To.I7I6 for the pavement of %1,arietta Street from Keasey Street to Broadway. Improvement Resolution 7o.I696 for the local sewer on LaSalle Avenue from Eddy Street to a point I0 feet ".'est of the "Vest line of Lot 33 in Kuehnf.s First Sunnyside Addition. Improvement Resolution No.I694 for a local sewer on St. Peter Street from Mayne Street to Alley South of "`ayne Street. i In all of the above matters, no remonstrators appeared and no written remonstrance was filed and the Board therefore finds that the '-enefits to the properties, liable to assessed for said improvements, are equal to. the estimated cost thereof. The Board therefore, decides to .sustain former action taken on said resolutions and declares said resolutions in all things ratified, confirmed and approved. Hearing also had on Improvement Resolution T?o.I7I5 for the pavement of .-G.1f ax Avenue from Eddy Street to Sunnyside Avenue. In the above matter, "r. George -itwer representing the Studebaker property owners remonstrated against said improvement. The Board, hotivever, decides to over rule the remonstrance and finds that the benefits to the property,, liable to be assessed for said improvement, are equal to the estimated cost of same, as reported by the City Engineer, and declares said resolution in things ratified, confirmed and approved. Hearing had on Improvement Resolution No.I689 for the pavement of alley between Portage Avenue and _"`oodward Avenue from Yukon Avenue to Angella Avenue. In the above matter, a written remonstrance was filed but the Board decides tb--- over rule said remonstrance and declare the resolution, adopted June I5th., T926, in all things ratified, confirmed end approved. Remonstrance referred to City Engineer for final check on property owners. Hearing had rn Improvement hesolution No.I686 for the sidewalk improvement on the est side of 7s in Street from Tutt Street to Stull Street. In the above matter a written remonstrance was filed by the Campbell Paper Box Co., and the Board, therefore, rescinds all action on said resolution and declares same null and void. IBth., day of August, I926, at the Office of the Board of Public °corks in the City Hall, a hearing will be given to all persons interested in or affected by said proceedings. Board orders that notices of same be published according to law on the 30th. , day of July, 1926 and on the 6th. , day of August, 1926 in the News j Times and South Bend Tribune. City Engineer, Yr. I3,98I.55 13,3I9.88 Albert Co. 14,429.93 I3,729.84 Bids having been received for the pavement of Colfax --venue under Improvement Resolution No.I68I, the Board this 2Ist.1 day of July, I9261 makes a preliminary order for Sheet Asphalt as the type of pave-'ent with which said street shall be improved and set the 3rd., day of August, I9261 as the time when said Board will either pass on petitions for changing the type of pavement, award contract or reject all bids. Board hereby orders thFt on August 25th., I926, this Board will !� receive, open and consider proposals for the lighting of streets and alleys and Pulic places in Sunnyside Second. Addition. Board further orders that notices of said proposals be published according to law in the News Times and South Bend Tribune. Board signed contract with the '. illiston Construction Co., for the pavement of Sunnyside Avenue under Improvement Resolution amount of contract l being 3I26.62 with a construction bond for I00� of t'.ne amount of the contract executed by The Inland Bonding �'0. j Board signed contract with The 'lliston Construction Co., for the paving of Oakland Street under Improvement Resolution Yo.I66I. Anount of contract being I4,279.62 with a construction bond for I00=-� of the ar.^ourt of tl,e contract executed by the Inland Bonding Co. Board hereby orders that on the 4th . , day of August, I926, this Board at itts office in the City Hall at 7-I5 P. i"., will receive, open and consider sealed proposals for the following Improvements: Improvement hesolution No.I694 for a local. sewer on St. Peter Street. Improvement Resolution No. I696 for a local sewer on LaSalle Avenue.
