Board met in regular session at 7-I5 P. Y. John Olejniczak
Hearing had on the following Improvement Resolutions:
Pavement on Irvington Avenue from the Alley East of 'Erskine Blvd.,
to Yiami Street under Improvement Resolution No.I663.
Pavement on Sunnyside Avenue from Sunnymede Avenue to Mayne
Street South under Improvement Resolution No.I676.
Grade, Curb and ''a_Ik on Huey Street from Elwood Avenue to Keller
Street under Improvement Resolution No.I670.
In all of the above matters, the Board finds that the benefits
to property liable to be assessed for said improvements, are equal to the estimated
costs of same as reported by the City rgineer, and the Board therefore, declares
said resolutions in all things ratified, confirmed and approved.
Board , hereby, decides that on Jnne 29th., said Board will
receive, open and consider sealed proposals -for the above improvements. Notice of
said proposals to be published, according to law, on the IBth., day of June and on.
the 25th., day of June 1926, in the News Times and Tribune.
Hearing bad on the following I:ocal Sewer Improvement Resolutions:
Local sewer on Oakside Street between P:Tiami Street and the first
alley 11test of Dale Avenue, under Improvement Resolution No.I67I.
Local Sewer on Rush Street from the manhole in Pernsylvania
Avenue to a point 250 feet South under Improvement Resolution No. I672.
In both of the above matters, the Board decides to sustain all
farmer action on said sewers and declare the resolutions in all things ratified,
comfirmed and approved.
Board, further decides that on June 29th.,.said Board will
receive, open and consider sealed proposals for the above local sewers. Notice
of said proposals to be published, according to law, on the IBtb . , day of June and S '
on the 25th., day of June, I926, in the News Times and Tribune.
Hearing had on Improvement Resolution No.I677 for the pavement
of the first alley South of Elder Street from the 2nd., alley lest of Carroll Street
to the 2nd., alleyEast of Yichigan Street.
In the above matter S. Lahey, representing Sophia Eckler,
remonstrated against said improvement and filed a written remonstrance. The Board
however., over ruled the remonstrance and declares said resolution in all things
ratified and confirmed and approved. "'ritten .remonstrance referred to City Engineer
for final check.
Hearing also had on Vacation Resolution No.I674 for the vacation
of the first alley North of Broadway from the West line of the second alikey 71"est of
tiami Street to the East Line of the second alley East of High Street.
In the above matter, Mr. Aaron Huguenard, representing the
Northern Indiana Gas Co., and The Reliable Dairy Co., the only two property owners
concerned in the above vacation, petitioned the Board to approve said resolution.
':''hereupon the Board decides to sustain all former action and declare said resolution
in al things ratified, confirmed and approved and the proceedings closed.
Hearing had on Assessment Roll for the Grade, Curb and '.Falk
improvement on Colfax Avenue from Eddy Street to Sunnyside Avenue under Improvement
Resolution.No.I56I.
In the above matter, no remonstrators r-p peared and no remonstrance
was filed and the Board therefore, declares said roll, filed April I3th., I926, in all
thing ratified, confirmed and approved and the proceedings closed.

In the above matter, the Board decides to sustain all former action
on said Roll Filed Anril 20th., I926, and hereby declares said roll in all things

Engineer filed tabulation of bids for the pavement of Sunnyside
Avenue from Sunnymede .Avenue to South Street under Improvement Resolution No.I653.

Board this I6th., day of June, I926, makes a preliminary award for Skeet Asphalt
as the type of pave*�,ent with vwbich said street shall be paved and sets June 29th. ,
I926, as the time when said Poard will either pass on petitions for a change of
type of pavement, make a final award or reject a.11 bids. The -illiston Construction
Co., is hereby given a preliminary award for said contract at their low bid of
II1105.98.

Avenue under Improvement resolution No.I675. 7ston Ball Contractor, amount of
contract being3,957.96 and signed by the 117�etropolitan Casualty Co., of Yew York
for I00` of the amount of the contract.
Grade -Curb and walk on Zulla A enue under Improvement Resolution No.I679. T'ston
Ball C nbractor,� amount of contract being I,444.63 and signed by the Standard Accident
Insurance Co., for I00'' of the amount of the contract.
Gracie Curb and walk on Brookfield Street under Improvement Resolution No. I678. Eston
Ball contractor, amount of contract being 3,980.26 and signed by the Standard Accident
Insurance Co., for ICO'' o-' the amount of the contract.
This being the date set, bids were received, opened and considered
for the pavement of alley between Tsarquette Avenue and '.S.akewa from _'Vicbigan to
Lafayette Street.

Pavement on Catalpa Avenue from Calvert Street to Ewing Avenue under Improvement

In the above matter, the Board hereby fixes the 21st., day
of June 1926, as the time when Said Board will hear and receive all rer.sons inter-
ested in or affected by said reolustions. Notices of said hearing to be published
on the 2nd., day of July and on the $th., day of July, I926, in the News Times
and Tribune.
Petition from ?°r. D . `I' eeple, a sting for Yatthew Muzmich,
f6i� building of sidewalk vaults to the curb line at the corner of Chapin and
Indiana AITenue filed. After due consideration, the Board decides to grant this
permission for the building if area ways in the side walk space to a point only
six .feet back from the existing curb line, which will reserve -a space for a
future under ground utility construction. Clerk ordered to so advise Yr. Teeple.

Board approved the Bond of the Indiana Bell Telephone Co.,
for I,000.00, signed by the American Surety Co., of New York.
This being the date set the Board made the following
awards of contract:
No petitions having been filed for the change of type of
pavement other, than that specified in the preliminary award, the Board hereby
awards the contrast for the pavement of 117nrriett Street from Jefferson Blvd.,
to �:Tishawarxa Avenue under Improvement Resolution Yo.I654, to The Williston
Construction Co., at their low bid of 48,9I0.25 for Sheet asphalt.
Petitions rPving been filed for a change of type of pavement
other than that specified in t'he nrelimirary order for t'-e pavement of
Campeau Street under Improvement Peso lla.t ion �,To.I655, the 'n.gineer made
the following report;
There are 33 bonified resident free holder signatures on this
street, 18 of whom have signed for sheet asphalt, leaving I5 signatures for
concrete pavement.
T?nere being a majority of 3 signatures in favor of sheet
asphalt, n'r. ':'ray reco~rmends that the final order on this resolution, be
for the same type of pavement as specified in the preliminary order and
th-e. Board hereby awards said contract to The Albert Construction Co.,
at their low bid of 29,&0.95 for sheet asphalt.
