the following Improvemeat..resolutions-
Grad e; Curb and walk on the Blest side of Main Street from Tutt Street
to Stull Street under. Improvement Resolution 7�I686.
Grade, Curb and walk on Bena Court from Cleveland Avenue to the
East Line of the 2nd., alley west of Cleveland Avenue under Improvement Resolution
No.I688.
Pavement of 'Aoashington Avenue from Jacob Street to Esther Street
under Improvement Resolution NO.I687.
' Pavement of Alley between D-anh.am Street and Fisher Street from
�`�-alnut Street to St. Casmer's Court under Improvement Resolution Tvo.I690.
Pavement of Alley between Portage Avenue and 'loodward Avenue from Yukon
Avenue to Angell\a Avenue under Improvement Resolution IVo.I689.
In the above matters, the Board hereby, orders that on the 2Ist. day of July, I926, a hearing will be held in the office of the Board at 7-I5 P. Hai.,
on all of the above named resolutions and 211 decide whether the benefit accruing
to abutting--anadjacent property and t o the City of South Buend, will equal to or
exceed the estimated cost of said Improvements. Board further orders that notices
of said hearings be published on the 2nd. , day of July and on the 9th. , day of July,
1926, in the News Times and Tribune.
Upon the recogmendation of City Engineer, 11r. ;dray, the Board awarded
the contract for the paving of the alley East of Eddy Street from Belmont Avenue to
South Street, unde r Improvement Resolution No.I685, to Harry Barnes at his low bid
of 3,37G.60.
I Tir. H. G. Wray, City Engineer, submitted partial estimate No. 2 for
the grade, curb and jiialkand pavement on. South Street from Eddy Street to Sunnyside Avenue
in accordance with the terms of the contract between the City and VYilliston Construction;
Co., under Improvement Resolution No.I568. Board approved same and signed same in the
amount of 8,786.62.
City Engineer, -T"r. Wray, submitted partial estimate No. I for the sewer
Improvement in Coquillard :7oods addition in accordance with the terms of the e04.traet
between the City and The lilliston Construction Co., under Improvement Resolution No.
I652. Board approved and signed same in the amount of 5,855.26
City Engineer, 14r. Wray, submitted partial estimate No. I for the
pavement improvement on Brookfield Street from Y'ashington Avenue to Lincoln Way West
in accordance with the terms of the contract between the City and The uJilliston Construct'!
ion Co., under Improvement Resolution No.I620. Board approved and signed same in the
iamount of I3,962.05.
City Engineer,11r. Wray, submitted partial estimate No. 2 for the grade,,
curb and walk improvement on Wilber Street from Lincoln bay West to Elwood Avenue in
Iaaccordance with the terms of the contract between the City and Carl E. Zimmer under
!Improvement resolution No.I565. Board approved and signed same in the amount of
2,389.08.

Upon the recommendation of 19m. F. Qualls, the Board Approved the petition',I
of the Indiana and ivlichigan Electric Co., for the installation of an under ground transformer
pit in front of the New Woolworth Building on South Michigan Street.
i In connection with the contract for grade, curb and walk on Wilber Street;
'under Improvement resolution No.I590, Carl Zimmer is hereby authorized to have lowered
such water boxes as are in the sidewalk line constructed under said contract and to
present to this Board, the plumbers receipted bill for same. Same to constitute
Extra order No.,I on said Contract.

pavement of Sunnyside Avenue.from Wayne Street to South Street under improvement resolu-

Regarding the matter of the Jefferson Blvd., and I8th., sewer,
the Board hereby accepts the proposal of. Arnberg and Spadoni for the construction
of same at th(bir pirde of 4.49 for I2 inch V. P.' per.lineal foot, and 4.00 a square
yard for replacing the pavement. Clerk instructed to advise Arnberg and Spadoni
of the acceptance of same.
The Board signed a contract, subject to the approval and ratifica-
tion by the Cite Council, with J. H. Ty7Thitmarsh, for the construction of a single track
siding across the first alley north of Florence Street between College and Lincoln 1A.ay

The undersigned, J. H. litmarsh, hereby and by these presents,
makes application and petition to your Honorable Body for the right and privilege to
construct and maintain a. single track siding across the first alley north. of Florence
Street between College Street and Lincoln 17ay "'est in the C;ty of South Bend, Indiana.
The petitioner further requests and agrees that thes ide track is
to be constructed off of and from the tracks of the IF?ew York Central Railroad Company
at the above described site, the total length of the side to he T"'0 HUT'DFED SIXTY FIVE
(265) feet from its connection with the tracks of the New York Central Pt the switch
Point. Said side track will be constructed entirely upon. the right of way of the
New York Central Railroad Company except only Where it crosses the above mentioned alley
and it is intended for, and will be used by petitioner in the exercise of a commercial
enterprise to be located upon the property at I7I3 Florence rivenue.
!! The petitioner hereto also agrees upon the grakting of the right
I!herein petitioned for, to maintain the alley crossing; herein before referred to, in
1ood re ,;1 g pair, to pave or properly plank crossing and to keep s arse open to traffic at all
11 times.
Attached hereto, in duplicate and made a part of this petition
is a blue print drawing which shows the correct location, in yellow, of the side track
proposed to be constructed and the measurements showing the length thereof.

.decides to replace the cement walk in front of lots 267 and 268 at I345 T11ilber street,
Ain view of the fact that this sidewalk was built under the direction of the former
:'City Engineer but will have to be taken out in order to conform with the sidewalk
