Board let in regular session at 7-15 P. M.: All members present.

After investigation by City Attorney, I. D. Pomig, Board approved �•
Bond and signed contract with Carl D. Traxler for the construction of the South
.Fast Trunk Sep^rer.under improvement resolution No.I635. Amount of contract being
"'192,935.35.
Board also signed the following contracts:

ji Contract with Carl D. Traxler for the cons,truction' of sewer on Laurel
Street from 17onroe to a point I83 feet south of the center line of Division Street.,
under improvement resolution Wo.I623. !':mount of contract being 1,037.60.
Contract with Carl D. Traxler for the construction of sewer on Holland
street from Yeade Street to a point 70 feet east of the east line of Kaley Street,
under improvement resolution No.I627. ,mount of contract being I,55I.00.
Contract with Eston Ball for grade, curb and walk improvement
in Homeland Addition under improvement resolution No.I634.
Board approved the Plat of Devon Place to The City of South Bend, Indiana
with the following dedication:
. The annexed plat of Devon Place to the City of South Bend, St. Joseph
j County, Indiana, is a subdivision of the following described property, to wit:
A tract or parcel of land in the North Fast one-q"uatter (3) of section
7. Township 37, North Range 3 East. Beginning on the north boundry line of East
Jefferson Blvd., distance south 76 degrees and 20 minutes East, a distance of Ten
hundred forty-eith and three tenths (IO-48.30) ft., measured along the north boundry
Line of said Jefferson Blvd., from the East line of Jacob Street, thence North 13
degrees and 40 minutes East, a distance of Four hundred thirty-nine and eighty
seven hundredths (439.87) ft., thence North a distance of Three hundred one and
eighty five. hundredths (30I.85) ft., to the south line of "'ash.irg:ton Avenue as now

-Continued hearing had on Grade, Curb and walk improvement on Colfax
Avenue from Eddy Street to Sunnymede Avenue under Improvement resolution No.I56.I.
In the sbove matter the Board decides to continue.said hearing until
June I6th., I926.
Hearing had on Improvement resolution No.I653 for the improvement
of Sunnyzd °avenue from Sunnymede to South Street.

In the above matter property owners asked that resolution be modified
so as to read from Sunnymede to Mayne Street. The Board hereby girders that
investigation be nade by the City Engineer and that hearing on same be continued
until !Jay 26th., 1926.
Hearing had on the following improvement resolutions:
Improvement of Harriett Street from Jefferson Blvd., to 117ishawaka Avenue.

In both of the above matters, the Board finds that the
I 'aene'fits to property, liable to beassessed for said ir�provements, are equal
to the estimated cost of same, as reported by the City Engineer, and there-
fore declares said resolutions in all things ratified, confirmed and
�! approved.
Board orders that on Tine 24Ah,., said Board will receive,
open and consider sealed proposals for the improvement of both of the above
named streets and further orders that notices of'sawe'be published according
to law, on the�"�ofYr �d c'rreroigl�l`' I �, in the
News Times and Tribune.
Engine.er!:-filed plans and srecifications and the Board adopted
a resolution for the improvement of Berkley Place from T\Torth. line of "oodlawn
Blvd., to south line of Oakwood Blvd.; Beverly Place from TTorth line of 1,17oodlawn
Blvd. , to South line of Oakwood Blvd.; Ingler^!ood Place from north line
of "'oodlawn B lvd., to south line of Oakwood Blvd.; `'oodlawn Blvd., from east
line of Portage Avenue to east line of lot 373 "'oodla�r.n. Add.; Kessler Blvd., I

Improvement reolution No.I664.
In the above matter, property owners signed a waiver, waiving
all objections to t',e manner in which said improvement is wade. ,
Bids were received, opened and considered on Improvement
resolution No.I664.

Street under Improvement resolution No.I636, the Board now this I9th., day of h7ay,
I926, makes a preliminary order for Sheet Asphalt as the kind of pavement i%Tith.which
said street shall be improved`cnd fixes June -2nd. I926 at 7-I5 �. as the time
when said Board will either pass on Petitions for changing kind of pavement, award
contract or reject all bids.. The Reith Riley Construction Co., Co., is hereby given
a preliminary order for the improvement at their low bid of 5,864.92.
Engineer filed Assessment Roll and fianl estimate for the condemnation
og easement for the South east Trunk Sewer system under Condemnation B�*solution No.
I643.
In the above matter, the Board hereby orders that notices of such. awards
of damages and assessments of benefits be given according to law and that a he be
given on June 23rd. , I926, at 7-I5 P. F.R. , at the office of the Board in the City Ball
for the purpose of hearing remonstrators and receiving rem&nstrances from all Persons
interested in said roll. j
