The Reith-Riley Construction Co., the lowest bidder, is hereby given a preliminary order for the improvement at their price of g12,619.45 City Engineer filed tabulation of bids for grade, curb and walk on all streets in Lincoln -Park Addition, under Improvement Resolution y1632, as follows: Alex Bukowski $16,984.12 Carl.Zimmer 17,987.08 Alex Bukowski, being the lowest bidder, is hereby awarded the contract at his low bid of 016,984.12. Board approved following bonds and renewals: haFortune Shoemaker' and Alexander H. Hildebrand. Board signed the following contracts; and the bonds for same. Between the Williston Construction Company and the City of South Bend for the improvement of Coquillard :`foods Addition, under Improvement Resolution 7,1652. Contract ih amount of Aw253,390.82, with bond for 100 of said contract by Inland Bondigg Co. Between C. E. Reesh, Contractor, and the City of South Bend for the construction of sewer on Monroe Street from Sunnytide Avenue to Harriet Street under Improvement Resolution "1648 Amount of contract is �5,455.90, with a bond of 100'% of said contract signed by 11'etropolitan Casualty Insurance Company. Between C. E. Reesh, Contractor, and the City of South Bend, for the co�struction.of sewer on South Street from Sunnyside Avenue to Harriet Street under mprovement Resolution §16491 Amount of contract is y4,791.60, with bond signed by llletropolitan Casualty nsurance Company, for 100% of said contract. Davis � Son, Contractor, and the City of South Bend for the construction of sewer on Belmont Street from Mishwaka Avenue to Longfellow s 0 M Tuesday, Yay 4, 1926 • U 0 Avenue, under Improvement Resolution T1638. Amount of contract is 58,932.00, with a bond, signed,by the Independence Indemnity Company, for 100% of said contract. Hearing had on Condemnation Resolution 21642 for extension of Wash- ington Avenue from Twenty-second Street to Twenty-fourth Street. in the above matter, no remonstrators appeared and no written remon- strances were filed. Board, therefore, declares the above described property con- demned and appropriated for public use. City Engineer filed plans and specifications and Board adopted and confirmed Improvement Resolution 1656, for the construction of a. local sewer along the center line of Gedar Street from a point 80 feet west of Jacob Street to the c center line of Harriet Street. Property own-ers waived all objections to the manner in which said resolution was confirmed without a hearing. City Engineer filed plans and specifications and Board adopted the following resolutions: Vacation Resolution y1657 for vacation of alley bordering the west line of Lot 97 on gouth Bend and Gary Land Cols. revised Addition, from the.north line of Calvert Street to the south line of the first east and west alley north of Calvert Street. Vacation Resolution 11658, for the vacation of the alley lying be- tween Lots 44 and 45 North Shore Terrace Addition from Parkovash Avenue of south line of alley north of Parkovash Avenue. Board orders that notices of said resolution be published on the 7th day of May and on the 14th day of I:ay, 1926, in the South Bend Tribune and the News Times. The Board, at its office in the City Mall, on lednesday evening, 1'.'ay 2&th, 1926, will hear and receive all persons interested in or affected by said:i.proceed4.. ings• City Engineer filed report on petition for grade, curb and walk on Corby Street from alley west of Jacob Street to Harriet Street. The above named street is not within the City Limits at the present time and the Board approved Mr/ `:,'ray's reconmendat.ion for denying same. Upton the recommendation of :;m. F.
