Hearing had on the following improvement resolutions: I608, for pavement on Roberts Street from Mishawaka Avenue to Ruskin Street. 41609, for pavement on Oakside Street from Michigan Street to Fellow Street. #1610, for pavement on Carlisle Street from Division Street to N.J.I.I. R.R.Co.. §1612, for pavement on Pokagon Street from Leeper Avenue to Tecumseh Avenue. Upon said hearings no remonstrators appeared and no remonstrances were filed. The Board, being fully advised in the premises, decides that the benefits to property liable to be assessed for said improvement are equal to the estimated cost of same, as reported by the City Engineer, and thereupon takes final action on said resolutions, as originally adopted, and the same are hereby in all things ratified, confirmed and approved. Be it further resolved that notices be published on the loth day od April and on the 17th day of April in the South Bend Tribune and the News Times, stating that this Board will receive bids for the construction of said improvements up to 10:00 A.M. on the 27th day of April 1926. The Board reserves the right to reject any and all bids. Hearing also had on the following improvement resolutions: #1611, for pavement on Grant Street from Division Street to N.J.I.I.R.R 11 Upon said hearing, no remonstrators appeared and no remonstrances were file(f, and this Board, being fully advised in the premises, decides that the benefi s tomproperty liable to be assessed for said improvement are equal to the estimated cost of same, as reported by the City Engineer, and thereupon takes final action on said resolution as originally adopted and the same is hereby in all things ratified, confirmed and approved. r\1 Be it further resolved that notices be published on the 24th day of April and on the 1st day of May, 1926 in the South Bend Tribune and the News Times, stating that this Board :ill receive bids for the construction of said improvement up to 10:00 A.M. on the morning of the 4th day of 11ay, 1926, The Board reserves the right to reject any and all bids. Hearing also had on Improvement Resolution § 1615 for pavement on Lafayette Street from south line of Angella Avenue test of Lafayette Street to the South line of Parkovash Avenue. Upon said hearing no remonstrators appeared and no remonstrances were filed, and this Board, being fully advises in the premises, decides that the benefit to property liable to be assessed for said improvement are equal to the estimated cost of same as reported by the City Engineer, and thereupor, taken final action on said resolution as originally adopted and the same is hereby in all things ratified, confirmed and approved. The Board, however, finds that there are no water mains on said street, and therefore no bids can be advertised for and no contract can be let until ar- rangements are made with the stater Department for said water mains. Hearing also had on (improvement Resolution Y"16i4 for pavement on Meade Street from Division Street to Sample Street. In the above matter, the Board finds that a resolution adopted on the 30th day of March, 1926, for pavement on Meade Street from the New York Central Tracks to Sample Street, takes care of the aforesaid section as mentioned in resolur-`: tion r 1614 "and therefbre, decides to rescind all former action on said Improvement; Resolution Y1614. 11 Upon the recommendation of City Attorney, I.S.Romig, the Board adopted the resolution to receive bids for lighting of streets and alleys and public places in Ridgedale Addition to the City of South Bend, Indaiana. In the above matter, the Board hereby orders notices of said resolution - to be published in the South Bend Tribune and the News Times on the 2nd bay of April and on the 9th day of April. Said Board, at its office in the City Hall, on April 20, 1926, at 10:00 A.1JI. will receive bids for said street Iighting.Board reserves the right to reject any and all bids.
