'r. C. HD. Horton, Agent.
Nejrr York Central Railway C o .
South Bend, Indiana,
Dear Sir :-
Compl&int has been filed with the Board of Zu.blic 7orks that two cables
belongin,; to your Company, are hanging too lour across the alley adjacent to your right -
of gray, running from Pine Street to Laurel Street, so that trucks are unable to pass throng
through this alley. j
This department had investigated the complaint and find that the rubles
referred to are your signal cables which extend from poles on the north side of the
alley to signal b6xes on yov_r right -of -:gray on the south side of the alley.
If a pole is set on the south side of the alley, where each of these cable
cross, so that the cables could be raised to provide more clearance, s°ie fell that
conditions complained of will be rem(Ddfedd in a satisfactory manner.
Very truly yours,
7m . F . wuall s .
