Board met in regular session at 7:15 P.I. All members present.
Hearing had on Resolution for the grade, curb and .walk on Elwood
Avenue from Olive Street to ?Meade Street as provided in improvement Resolution No.
1589.
In the above matter no remonstrators appeared and no written remon-
strance was filed. After hearing, the Board decides that the benefits to property
liable to be assessed for said improvement, are equal to the estimated cost of the
same and the Board therefore now confirms the said resolution. Date for receiving
opening and considering sealed proposals for the construction of.said grade, curb
and walk fixed November 10th., 1925 at 10:00 A.M. and notice thereof ordered published
as provided by law.
Hearing had on roll of awards of damages and assessments of benefits
6n the Vacation of the alley lying aling the Southerly line of the New York Central
Railroad right of way from Caroline Street to the first alley east of Caroline Street
• under lacation Resolution No. 98 filed September 2flnd1925.
In the above matter no remonstrators appeared and no written remon-
strance was filed. The Board therefore declare the above roll filed September 22nd.
1925 is hereby in all things ratified, confirmed and approved as modified: Correction
by placing Forty Two Dollar ($42.00) assessment of benefit on South 38.6ft. of lot 24

In the above matter no remonstrators appeared and no written remon-
strances were filed. The Board therefore find that the property assessed in said
rolls filed September 30, October 7th., 13th., and 14th., 1925 are benefited in the
amounts as shown on said rolls, and the Board further find, that the assessment rolls
filed September 30th., 1925 October 7th., 13th., and 14th., 1925 and the final estimate
allowed September 30th., October 7th., 13th., and 14th., 1925 should be and the same are
hereby in all things ratified, confirmed and approved. And the sum of ,550.00 is ordered
withheld from Contractors on Streets in Lincoln 11anor Addition Grade, curb and tivalk
contract, until Contractor H. L. Davis & Sons removes debris from lot of E. E. Moore
or makes settlement with opener.

That, the South Bend Watch Company, incorporated under the laws of
Indiana, and which has taken over all assets of the South Bend ,'later Company, incorpor-
ated under the laws of New Jersey, and located at South Bend, in Saint Joseph County, in
the State of Indiana, convey and quit -claim to the City of South Bend, in Saint Joseph
County, in the State of Indiana, the following described real estate, in Saint Joseph
County, in the State of Indiana, to be used for alley purposes, for use of the General
public.

Beginning at a point one hundred and seventy three and seven -thenths
(173.7) feet west of the east one -eighth (1/8th) section corner in the north boundary
line of Section No. (18) Eighteen Township No. thirty-seven (37) North, Range No. Three (3}
1 3) east, thence running due south, on a line parallel with the east and west lines of
said section, eight hundred and sixty -one and two -tenths •(861.2) feet, thence west on
a line parallel with the north line of said section, seven (7) feet, thence north eight ".

City Controller is hereby requested to release the sum of
One hundred Dollars ($100.00) held up on V-1m. H. Bunke Contractor for water connections
on Lincoln 7,Vay East under date of January 28th., 1925.
Engineering office instructed to survey alley where D. J. Kelly
complained of cables being in ,I�ay of traffic and made report to Board.
The following bonds and contract approved.
Contract with S. U. Ackerman for sewer on Sunnymede Avenue from
Harriett Street to 18th. Street as provided in improvement Resolution No. 1580 adopted
September 16th., 1925 signed and construction bond in the sum of 02,966.00 attached
thereto with Fidelity & Deposit Co. of Iaryland as sureties approved. Uontract and bond
ordered filed.
Contract with Indiana Construction Company for grade, curb and walk
on Camden Street from aashington Avenue to Division Street as provided in Improvement
;Resolution No. 1577 adopted September 9th., 1925 signed and construction bond in the sum
of %"1,730.00 attahhed thereto with Eagle Indemnity Company as sureties, approved.
