A regular meeting of the
Board of Public Works was held on Monday, December
18,
1939, at 9 A. Tvi. All members
were present. ;ginutes of the previous meeting were
read
and approved. Payrolls of various
departments in the amount of 10,044.44 and claims
the following suppliers, in the

A committee, composed of 1111r. Eugene J. Pajakawski and A. 0. Glczak of the
Central Polish Civic Organization were present and presented a plea for the installa-
tion of a traffic light at the corner of `idashington and 1.1alnut Sts. The committee
was advised that in preparing the budget, a traffic light for this intersection was
c�ansidered, but upon final approval of the budget, this fund was omitted.
✓f A claim presented by E. T. Tranberg, for damage to his car while driving on
V'East Jefferson Sts., was rejected.
ENGINEERING DEPARPMENT: ✓ Contination certificates on excavation bonds were approv d
for tFie' fol owing p um ers: United Heating &Plumbing Company, Adolph Dutrieux & Co.,
Samuel Slutsky, and Rocco Simeri.
ELECTRIC DEPARTMENT: Mr. Qualls was present and matters pertaining to his d_e-
/Partment were discussed.
STREET DEPAR`.IMEIIT: The Street Commissioner was present and -matters pertaining
to his department were discussed. Mr. Zmudzinski reported the receipt of 164.00 for us
v6f the City grader at 406 S. Carroll St.
