All members waere present. Minutes of the previous meeting were read, and approved. The Board took the matter under consideration without definite action. The Board approved the plan sutim.itted br D. A.Boswell and gave him permission to run a tank.line from the tank to a pump, crossing the alley immediately west of Drain Street and between Jefferson and "eayne Streets. This line must be buried in eighteen inches of cement and must not in an-�r way obstruct an7,T wiring or gas pipe that may be located under this alley. STREET DEPARTIIEN T : Mr. Znudzinski was authorized to purchase 500 lbs. of hickory fibre at 71 per paind for making brooms from fiorte Bros., Inc. of Fort Ydayne, Indiana. - oy Eger of the Asphalt Products Company was authorized to put down a sample of paving material for a space of approximately twenty feet between the curb and streetcar tracks on Jefferson Street, with the understanding that there is no obligation on the part of the city. �I;Ir. Zmudzinski reported to the Board the difficulty lis department was encountering in cleaning the city streets because of the number of automobiles r,,arked during the period between o ne and five o r clock in the morning. Definite action was delayed to allow time for review of the ordinance covering -parkin and to consult the Police De- na rtm ent as to co-operation. D. Sherrian Ellison and i:4eivin Brentlinger -appeared before the Loard and exhibited the results of an insurance survey which their have rude covering all policies of insur- ance,in the Board of ylorks and Safety office. The Board authorized a demonstration of flexible sewer rods by the 1-lexible Sewer-Ro EaYipment Company. The .Board authorized the purchase of 100 posts for street si ns 2' "xll r for use on street corners. CEIM EETERY DEPARTMENT: • "lisle McNabb was present and discussed with the Board the possibility of procuring '1,VPA a project for the purpose of painting the fence around the City Cemetery. Mr. dlilli exos was authorized to investigate this matter. 1Ar. TrtcNabb was authorized to consult with the Clerk of the Board and to pur- chase a filing cabinet at a reasonable price.
