MEETING JAIYTTARY 9, 1039
✓Regular meeting of the Board of Public Vi,orks was held on Yonday, January 9, 1939,
at 9:15 A.Y. All members were present.
v1linutes of the previous meeting were read and approved. Claims from the follow-
ing suppliers in the amount of 0233.25 were approved and ordered paid; also payroll in
the amoi;:nt of $3,759.32 for the various Departments.

cussed the problem of overhead ligT_ti g on Sample Street. Chief Ingram and Ernest E.
Miller, the Traffic Engineer were called in for the discussion and 1Tr. biller was ask
to snake a report on the situ t -on.
CEMETERY::
Mr. Lyle McNabb was present and was requested by the Board to change the locks on
var°.ous doors in his department and also to have t'he combination of the safe cT=anged.
He was authorized to determine t1 e cost of repa i ring tT--e present tent on hand and also
to determine the cost of a new tent.
'/The Clerk of the Board was authorized to sec that all locks and safe comibinations
in the City ITall and other buildings belonging to tl'e City be changed.
The Clerk was directed to notify- all department Leads t o immediately cormmuni cate
their needs to him in regard to stationery and varous supplies wich are liable to be
needed during the year.

LaFayette Streets on Madison and Elwood Avenue T'etween Brookfield and Johnson Streets.
