All members -were present. Minutes of the previous meeting were readand approved. Claims from the following suppliers in the amount of-$1035.81 were approved and ordered paid:, Michigan Ave. Lumber Co. 122.99 Sears, Roebuck & Co. 2.09 Haguets Floor Covering Shop 24 * 50 Maurice ' Hoban 20.00 South Bend Wholesale,Drug-Co* :75 Wire &.Disc Wheel Sales Serv. 64.50 Central Electric Co. .60 City Ice Service,.Inc.. 75.00 Central Electric Co. .34 Mid -America Engineering Corp. 265.150 Elgin Sweeper Co.. 46. 61 General _Fire Co. 69,000 Willette -Service- Station 36.00- Dave Heitman: .8 .00 Business Systems, Inc. 9.08 Mid-.America,Eftgineering Carp4 100.00 Art,,craft Printers 11.50 Indiana Paint & Wallpaper Co. 51.85 South Bend Foundry, -Co., 30.00 South Bend Foundry Co. /Mr. Qualls reported --with reference-. to a request for a street light at Prairie Avenue between Nash and Grant -Streets and recommended that- a 4000 lumen light be lo- cated at Prairie avenue'and-Glenn Street: The Board ,approved -this and ordered same installed. Mr. Qualls reported on the petition for a -street-ilight at Adams and Liston Streets recommending that -a 1000 lumeir'light be ilistalled. The Board t approved this and ordered the installation made. Mr. Qualls recommended that a 1000 lumen light be installed at.the intersection of Ohio Street and the alley known as Columbia Street. The Board approved this and Mr. Qualls was requested to notify the IndianaMichigan Electric Company. ,/A petition signed by a considerable number of residents and property owners was presented %o the Board with the approval of the City Plan Commission, requesting the opening of Farnemen eastofFellows Street. This matter was approved and the Engineer- ing Department was instructed to prepare a resolution for the improvement. Meeting adjourned at 11:00 A. M. of ATTEST. �' wi�,�� Board c Works
