Grabill, representing the Grand Tru k Railroad in phich it was stated that definite has been rece-ived. from the State High:raay Department that the Department will install from 1939 Federal funds flasher light sig- nals with short am automatic gates at their Greenlawn Avenue crossing. Also that the same installation will be made where State Road ivo 123 crosses the _:'-rack at 'Vi.P. 96.42 The Board decided to defer action regarding this matter, giving,the Railroad the oppor- tunity of installing these signals as soon after the first of the year as possible. Tie Clerk, was instructed to keep in touch with the matter to see that it is accomplished. .City Traffic Engineer _viiller called attention to the guard railing on the south side of Colfax_ Avenue bridge at the race arid_ the north side of LaSalle Avenue Bridge at the race, stating that some of this railing is missing and, should_ be replaced for the protection of pedestrians. The Board_ directed. that the Street Department be instru cted to erect the proper railings. 11, petition signed by 11 property o.Am.ers requested that Liberty Street from J1est-. ern Avenue to Jefferson Blvd. be graded.
