The Indiana Michigan Electric Company asked permi.'sion to install undergound con-
di?it,^ along the south curb line of LaSalle Street east from the existing manhole on
Polk Street, as shown on their drawing No. 138-197. upon Mr. Qualls' recommendation
-permission was granted.

11:00 A. IV. All members were present. Minutes of the previous meeting were read and
a- roved.

VA petition signed by 15 property o�-.,ners reouested that the first and second blocks
on South Meade Street be repaired. The petition was referred to the Street Department
for irvestit;ati on and recommendation.
✓The City Sexton made his report of receipts for the month of Ueptember, showing
$219.00 collected for regular care of lots and �196.00 for perpetual care. This report
is on file in the office of the Board of works.
'�A communication was received from the Common Council requesting that the Board
meet with the `V ays and ivleans ucmmittee of the Uouncil to arrange for a conference with
the Indiana Michigan Electric Company rrith reference to reducing rates to general users
of electricity. The conference was arranged with the ►ways and Means Committee for four
p.m. , Tvtonday, October 3.
Official Contractor's Bond in favor of Axel E. Anderson was approved by the Board..
The Board in conference with Mr. Qualls decided upon_ the following recomw_enda_tions
VThat a 4000 lumen light be installed at the intersection of ,Aarcuette end vLkewa_.
A,Tr. Qualls was requested to instruct the Indiana lviichigan Electric Company to in-
stall this light.
4Phat a 1000 lumen light be installed on each of the three following streets:
Beverly PIC.ce, Berkeley Place and Inglewood Place between Oakwood Blvd. and Wood -
lawn Blvd. Mr. Qualls �;t-as instructed to notify the Indiana Michigan

pang accordingly.
That a suitahle light be installed at the Lady of Hungary Church intersection.. Mr
Qualls was instructed to order this light from the Indiana M-Ac. igan Electric Co.
Meeting adjourned at 11: 45 A. M.
