Regular meeting of the Board of Public Works was held on Monday, June
13, at
11:00 A. M. All members were
present.

VThis being the date set for continued
hearing of Vacation Resolution No. 2491,
2492, and 2493, and easements not having been properly filed, the Board continued
hearing for four weeks, or until July 11.
A communication was received by the Board addressed to the Mayor by Chas. W. Cole,
submitting'a proposed contract
for the construction of a sewage disposal plant, which
proposal was ordered placed on
file.

A petition signed by 15 residents in the affected area requested that
the alley
between Altgeld and Victoria Streets from High Street west be graded and gravelled.
The matter was referred to the
Street Department for attention.
✓Mr. Qualls reported on the petition requesting a street light at the intersection
of Milton Streetand Mumford Court, and recommended that a 1000 lumen light be estab-
lished. It was regularly moved, seconded and carried that this report be concurred
in and Mr. Qualls was so notified and' =a-sked to notify the Indiana Michigan Electric
Company accordingly.
Mr. Qualls recommended that a street light be established at the corner of Vic-
toria and Leer Street. The Board upon -regular motion authorized the installation, and
the Ix diana Michigan Electric Company were so notified.
Mr. Qualls reported upon a petition asking for the establishment of a street light
at the corner of Bissel and Walsh Streets. He recommended that a 1000 lumen light be
established at this intersection in which the Boardeoneurred in and gave instructions
to have the work done at once.
✓ Mr. Qualls reported upon a communication from Gertrude Chillas asking for a re-
connection of a light at 1132 E. Bronson. After considering this matter, the Board
decided to withhold definite abtion and consider this matter at a later date.
