Regular meeting of the Board of Public Works was held on Monday, May 23, at 10:00
A. M. All members were -present.
Minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved and claims from the follow
ing suppliers in the amount of $1805.55 were approved and ordered pa.id., also payroll
j of the various Departments amounting to 6341.41.

`1�1 petition was presented igned by 9 residents in the affected area, requesting
the opening; of the first alley west of Eddy Street from bt. Vincent to the first alley
north, was presented to the Board and referred to the Engineering Department for the
purpose of bringing in a Condemnation Resolution. This matter was referred to the
Engineering Department for their attention.
1Mr. Alex Bokor submitted a -plan for a filling station layout at Indiana Avenue
and.Scott. Btreets, showing cuts in curb. This plan was approved by the Board and Mr.Bokor was instructed to -_lace on file blue prints covering same..
This being the date set hearing was held on the assessment roll .hoeing the award
of damages and the assessment of benefits in the matter of vacation of alley south of
Jefferson Street to a point 120 feet north, same being Vacation Resolution -No. 2494.
/In the above named assessment roll no remonstrators appeared and no written remons-
trances were filed, the Clerk of the Board submittedcmoofs of delivery of notices and -
same were found sufficient , and the Board, therefore, finds that the several lots and
parcels of land have been bEnefited and. damaged in the amounts shown on said roll. The
Board, therefore, decides to take final action on said assessment roll and declares
same in all things ratified, confirmed and approved without modification and the pro-
ceedings closed and the alley vacated upon receipt of the amount of benefits assessed
from the various property owners so benefited and all proceedings had with reference
to said alley vacation are hereby sustained.
This being the date set hearing was had on the assessment roll showing the award

Lafayette Street from Indiana Avenue to a point 121 feet South, same being Vacation
Resolution No. 2495.
In the above named assessment roll no remonstrators appeared and no written remon-
strances were filed, the Clerk of the Board submitted proofs of delivery of notices and
same were found sufficient, and the Board, therefore, finds that the several lots and
parcels of land have been benefited and damaged in the amounts shown on said roll. The
Board., therefore, decides to take final action on said assessment roll and declares
same in all things ratified, confirmed and approved without modification and the pro-
ceedings closed and the alley vacated upon receipt of the amount of benefits assessed
from the various property owners so benefited and all proceedings had with reference to
said alley vacation are hereby sustained.
✓This being the date set for continued hearing on Vacation Resolutions No. 2491,2492
and 2493, Mr. C. E. Perkins having reported that easements on the property have not been
completed. The Board postponed final action on these resolutions for three weeks or
until June 13, 1938.
✓ communication was received from Councilman um. 5. James, asking that the Board
furnish information for public hearing giving an itemized statement of the various pro-
jects and detailed estimates of the materials, equipment, and supplies to be required fo:
each project. This matter was referred to Mr. Zillmer for attention.
