After conferring with Mr. Qualls, the Board decided to re -light two boulevard lamps at this intersection, one on the south side and the other on the north side,. and asked Mr. Qualls to so notify the Indiana & Michigan Electric Company. ✓Mr. Qualls reported on a petition of residents in the vicinity of RVing Avenue and Franklin Street, requesting street light, in which he stated that from the present lighting of that district he would not recommend the installation. His report is on file in the office of the Board of Public Works; in which the Board concurred. Mr. Qualls reported on the petition of fifteen residents in the vicinity of Donmoyer and Fellows Streets, stating that his investigation showed that this district needed more light and recommended that a 2500 lumen lamp be installed. The Board concurred in this report and Mr. -ualls is requested to so notify the Indiana. & Michigan Electric Company. Mr. Qualls reported on petition of Mr. F. E. Shambleau, requesting the re- lighting of a lamp now desk at 1215 East Wayne Street. Mr. Qualls' report was that the lights in this vicinity are staggered and the volume of light is quite ample to supply the actual need, but that when the budget justifys increasing the lighting facilities in the City, this petition might be considered. ,/ Mr. Qualls submitted blue prints furnished by the Indiana Bell Telephone Company, outlining a plan for a general overhauling -of their entire outside plant in South Bend, which is merely replacements and re -arrangement. The only new construction is shown on prints 35, 64 and 75.
