All members were present. Minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved. Co. 7.20 Crown Rock Sales Co. 720.70 -/Mr. Weer submitted his report of the activities of the Street Department for the month of August, which report is on file in the office of the Board of Public Works, and a copy furnished each member of the Board. / Mr. Frederick J. .Anderson, City Civil Engineer, filed primary assessment roll showing awards of damages and assessment of benefits in the matter of vacation of a portion off of the South side of Western Avenue from the west line of Cherry Street to Kosciusko Street, same being Vacation Resolution No. 2489. In the above named Assessment Roll the Board orders that on the 27th day of September 1937, it will meet in the City Hall at 10:30 A. M. to hear and receive remon- strances from all persons interested in or affected by said vacation resolution and the Board further orders notices of said hearing to be advertised in two newspapers in South Bend on September 17th and September 24th and that notices together with amount of damages awarded or benefits assessed be addressed to the property owners according to law. ✓ This being the date set for hearing on Improvement Resolution #2490 for the construction of local sewer on Duey Avenue from South Bend Avenue to alley north of St. Vincent Street, Mr. Leo Seiser being the only interested party present, the Board postponed hearing for one week and instructed the clerk to notify all interested property owners of postponed hearing for one week and instructed the clerk to notify all interested property owners of postponed hearing.
