Service Co., Inc. 4.95 A -representative of the Chamberlin-Metal Weather Strip-Compan proposed to calk all window frames and door -frames on the "City Hall for a price of 1165.00. There being sufficient in the budget to do this,- the -Board -ordered -it done at once. A petition signed--by-eighteen residents- -and property owners in the vicinity of lremon.t and Orange Streets -was presented, requesting that -George Peterson be refrained 'from constructing a Coal -Yard- at° that -location. After hearing the petition, the Board decided that the property described is zoned for a Coal Yard and that the Board,,. therefore, has no jurisdiction. The first petitioner -on -the list was so notified,- A;petition signed by twenty -seven -residents and property owners in the vicinity of'tlmer,�Huey,. Olive and Tghnson-Streets protesting against -dumping of refuse on Elmer and Huey Streets -was; received:- This -petition having --been referred to the Board -by the Common Council, and the- Board" feeling that -it- _is a health matter has referred petition to the Board"of--Health"for investigation and correction. ✓'`The Board approved the Plat of Coates Addition with the following dedication: DEDICATION FOR PLAT OF COATES The annexed Plat -of Coates Addition to South Bend, Indiana is laid out on the following described tract-of"land, to wit: Beginning at the intersection -of the'East line of Section 34, Township 38'Nth.` Range.2 East, and the North line •of Oakwood Blvd. as shown on the recorded Plkf of-:: Woodlawn Addition to the - City, of South Bend, Indiana said - ,point of beginning �,i�g `� 1321.0 feet South of the --North-east corner -of said -Section, -34; thence running -West along the North line of said Oakwood Blvd, a distance of 256.7-feet to the easterly line -of "Portage Ave., thence North=Westerly along the Easterly line of Portage Ave., a distance of 142.1 feet;-.. then-e-_ East• a distance of 314.4 feet to the East line of said -section 34; thence South 130 feet-to"the place of beginning; being lot 43 in Jaekson!s proposed Subdivision. Continuation certificate covering excavation bond in favor of Barker & Spromberg was approved by the Board. Communication°was received from the Pennsylvania Railroad Company advising that the railroad crossings at Tutt Street, Sample Street, Calvert Street, Broadway and Ewing Avenue had been referred to the proper department and repairs would be made promptly. Mr. W. S. Moore, Engineer, submitted blue prints of plat of Ridgedale Terrace which was approved by the -Board, after having been approved by the City Planning Commission on June 3rd.
