Postponed meeting of the Board of Public 7jorks was held on Tuesday, September 8,
1936,a,t`_ 11:00 A. M. , due to Monday being Labor Day. All members were present.
Minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved.
Claims in the amount of $2,994.93, from the following; suppliers, were approved
and ordered paid, also payroll of the various, departments amounting to 1,621.76.

of the
work done by the Street and Sewer
Departments
during the month of rugust 1936, which report is on file in the office of the Board of
Public Works.
The Secretary reported ha.vinE investigated the filling station at South Bend
Avenue and Georgiana Street and had a talkT�aith i:s. Jones, the operator, who stated he
was simply operating the stet ion f or the Sheldon Oil Company and that they will take
no action, -since it is a matter for the owner to attend to. The Secretary was
instructed to write 1.r . Jess Taylor, North Wiebster, Indiana, the owner of the property,
and request him to establish a curb along the right-of-way on South Bend Avenue.
11r. Anderson, City Civil Engineer, filed nla.ns and the Board adopted said plans
together vrith the followinE Vacation Resolution-:
