A sketch was presented to the Board submitted by Sai,! Coffman for proposed
new
driveway at approach to Parking Lot at 121
East Jefferson Boulevard. It was moved,
seconded and carried that permission be granted
to construct driveway.
A communication was received
from Stanislatr- �alrrowski of 428 South Harris
street,
asking that street light be installed on the 400 block Harris Street from where
it was
removed. The matter. vras referred
to 111r. Qualls for investigation and report.
A comrunic2tion was received from Ernest H. Hiller in regard to two filling
station driveways that are in bed condition and hazardous to pedestrians.
The first, located at the northwest corner of I,:ishawaka. Avenue and 32nd Street
where filling station was started but never• comp_ leted, is used by motorists to
cut through to T-Iishawaka Avenue. It was moved, seconded and carried that notice
be sent to the property owners to close driveway and replace curb.
The second, drivevrFy to fillings station at the northeast corner of South Bend.
Avenue and Georgiana Street, he recommends 35 ft. of the driveway be removed
and curb replaced, as it is of no use to t'ne filling station and dangerous for
pedestrians. The matter was referred to ?.'r. ,Anderson for investig---tion and
recommendation.
Contractor's bond in favor of the 17- G. Christr_an Construction Cora-Lpany in the
United. States Fidelity & Guaranty Company was approved by the Board.
Glilliam Longenecker, City Sexton, reported having contracted for perpetual care
with T:'rs. lra-ry A. Balding of Lot 487-3 and Pauline Steinke of Lot 2-8-2-W.
