A regular meeting of the Board of Public I1;forks was, held on _17onday, February 24,
1936 at 10 A. T=. All memhers were present.
The minutes of previous meeting were read end approved.
Claims in the amount of 135.62 from the following° supplies were approved, also pay
-roll of the ve rious depa rtne nts for the last half of Febr,.z l=fir amounting- to 5417.91.

M-r. J. tit. Slott presented a claim for dama&.e to his autor_iobile while travelinc
through an alley between Lawrence and Stanfield Sts. frog. Foward St.- I\fiorth where a Crad-
ing project was in process under W.P.A. labor c]..aiining proper warning was not displayed.
The matter was referred to I!r. Anderson for investigation and report at next meeting.
Yr. L. L. Thompson, Agent of the Grand Trunk IVIEstern Railroad presented a written
request for discontinuance of street lights now maintained by the Railroad at Columbia
Lincoln . ay East, Eddy, Notre Dame, Greenlawn and. Frances Sts. No action was taken peed
ing further invest; gat -ion and T_r. Thon.pson was advised the matter would be furtr.er con-
sidered at the next meeting.
A petition signed. by 24 residents in the vicinity of Indiana Avenue and Swypert
Street presented a petition for enoverhead stop light at that ante -°section. The matter
was referred to Yr. walls for investigation and report.
A communication from the Industrial Board Division of the Department of Commerce
was received notifying the City that ;#1 Boiler at the Central Fire. Station be replaced
at once due to age and general bad condition. The secretary was instructed to ma.'�e re-
pl-ir the t the boiler will be replaced as soon as an eppropriation to cover the cost has
been granted.
Mr. Qualls investigated the matter of rate in current consumption ` and. informed the
Board that the City is now and has been enjoying a rate of 3¢ to vft�ich other municipal
units have been reduced recently.
Lrr. Qualls presented a request from the Indiena. &. TCichigen Electric Company to
remove a guy strand now anchored on the south side of Yisl ewa.lra Avenue at Louisa Street
aatd anchor it on the North. Side of "ishatfia'-a Avenue. This wou]_r brine it along the side
of the house owned by T'Ir. J. D. T:'artin and in view of Yr. T artin's objection the request
was not grented by motion of 17'r. Funter, seconded by 1.7r. a-)odwerd. and repularly carried.
Cont 'nuet on certificate of Excava tlon. Bond in favor of '�, . J. Drauns6orf 8c Son to
February 28, 1937, was approved by the Board.
