All members were present. Claims in the amount of $1,540.23, from the following suppliers, were approved and ordered paid; Indiana & Mich. Electric Co. $109.78 Indiana & Mich. Electric Co. 1.00 Indiana Lumber & Mfg. Co. 2.25 Walter J. Braunsdorf & Son 3425 Dan R. Lontz Coal Co. 289.52 South Bend Clean Towel Service 8.75 Morningside Pharmacy 1 1.00 George H. Poulsen $522.94 The Crown Rock Company 576.91 Railway Express Agency 1.40 G. E. Meyer & Son, Inc* 23.43 Mr. Ira Howard of the American Legion requested the privilege of burying a colored man who had been buried on the County Farm, transferring him to the Veteran's .1ot,in the City Cemetery.. Permission was given to Mr. Longenecker to make this arrangement. A communication from the Bendix Products Corporation was read requesting that a streetlight be placed at the end of the pavement of Westmore Street in the vicinity of the soft ball. field recently laid out by the Bendix Corporation. After consider- ation, it was decided there were no funds for this purpose and the Secretary was instructed to write the Bendix Corporation accordingly. A communication ommunication from A. R. Abrams to the Mayor was read to the Board, again calling attention to desire of the residents in the neighborhood of East Angella Boulevard and Foster Streets for a street light at that point. After considering the matter, the Board decided it could not comply with this request, on account of lack of funds, and Instructed the Secretary to notify Mr. Abrams., The.meeting adjourned at 12:00 o'clock.
