REGULAR 1,METING. 139
Regular medting of the board of Public Works was held on Monday May 27,1935 at 1.30.P.m.
Mr Anderson was absent.
Minutes of meeting of May 20th and 23rd 1935 were read and approved.
Claims in the amount of. 3882.72 were presented and allowed,also payroll of the Board of
Works Street Dept Bldg-`.'DetgEngineering Dept Sewer Dept Cemetery Dept and Garbage Dept
amounting to 4784,07.
Mr Qualls reported that the roof on the alarm station was in very bad condition and a
new roof was necessary'as repairs would be invadequateIt was decided to introduce an
ordiance in the commom council appropriating $500.00°from the police salary a/a for this
purpose.
Mr Qualls reported upon the request of Samuel Feiwel for more light at Angela and Foster
Ave.Mr Qualls stated this situation is paralled with many others in the Gity,created by
the -restricted budget under which we -are worki7ag.The Board concurred in Mr Qualls report
and instructed the secretary to write Mr Feiwell accordingly.

The Board authorized placing Fire theft Public Liability and property damage
Insurance on Plymouth Coupe,Engine number 1,548,018 operated by the Beard of Heal h
Bond of Contractor in the Fidelity & Deposit Co of Maryland in favor of Harold 0.
Clayton was approved by the Board.
Mr Chas R.Lewinski again brought up the matter of damages to the Soeda property,
He was advised the Board would make'furthur,investigati-on before its next regular
meeting*
