A petition signed by Gladys M.Monroe and 105 others living in the vicinity of Lincoln -Way West and Walnut St was presented requesting a traffic light at that point, The petition was refered to the enginering Dept now conducting a traffic survey of the city in connection with the Chicago Motor Club. It was moved and seconded and carried that the Sexton be instructed' to allow the gates of the city cemetery to remain open until nine Oclock from now on until Decoration Day and after that to keep them open until seven Oclocks The matter of occupancy of Western.Ave East of Michigan St was discussed and it was moved seconded and carried that the tenant be notified to vacate the street which he is now occupying.The matter was referred to the secretary and city attorney.Pete Marchelewicz is -the present occupant. E.M.Morris president of the First Bank & Trust'Co appeared before the ' Board to Offer the assistance of the Bank in disposing of Bonds in connection with the bottle neck project.The matter was fully discussed,but no action was taken. Mr Morris also brought up the question of making W*Jeffer.son St OL,-through Street from Taylor St West.but the Board felt it would be impractical to put a project of thiskindthrough at this time so no action was taken*,_.. I I - The secretary' -was instructed to place the burglary insurance expiring on May 15th covering the city clerk office with Mr T*J*Ewers and to_ reduce the amount'$500.00 and place this amount on the controllers office. Mr,Weer and the secretary were instructed to revise the list of street Dept equipment on which the insurance expires on June 5th and report to the Board art its next meeting.
