Regular meeting of the.Board of Publie Works was held at 11 30.A.M.Monday
April 22,1925.All membersswere present.`
Claims in the amount of 242:81 were allowed,also pay roll for all departments
except street and sewar departments in the amount of $1777.86.
The city attorney reported hating written the N.Y.C.Ry regarding the crossing
of Leer St.
Mr Qualls,reported,his,trip to Chicago in company with Mr Anderson for the
purpose of investigating equipment that might be used at'the Western Ave
underpass.It was found that:1the required 16 flood ligh#s are obtainable at a. •
price of $4.00 each the wholesale price being $21.00.
The Ind & Mich Elee Co petitioned for permission to install conduts for
Electrical cable at,Western Ave and the N.''.C.tracks in accordance with blue,
prints which are now on file in the office of the Board of Public Works

YrFrah.k Mu rear - appeared before- tide-- Board in regard to contract recently
entered into with the Elgin Sweeper Co.Mr Murray stated that he objected to
an additional appropritation for this sweeper as the budget when made up last
year for 1935 on -item 115 for 4500.00 anticipated payment on the Austin sweeper
bought in 1934 Of 1�17.50,the balance to be used for .the first payment on a .,
new sweeper -or f1u-sWT to be purchased this year.Afterconsiderable discussion
the board concurred AX-Vr Murray4s explanation..
Fire insurance polices.nn is Police and Fire Alarm Stations and Garage was
approved in the following coipantes

John C.Fox Suthern Fire Ins Co 11250.00
