Meeting March 23, 1935
A special meeting of the Board of Public Works was held on. Saturday, March 232 1935
at ten o'clock to consider a new city lighting contract with the Indi:am and Michigan
Electric Co. to take effect upon the expiration of last contract which expired on
January 1st, 1935. Mr. Chas. Calvert represented the Indiana & Michigan Electric Co.
and submitted a proposed contract. After a full discussion, the Board took the
matter under advisement pending investigation. by Mr. Qualls as to the practicability
of reducing the light intensity of some of the equipment. Report. to be made at
meeting of April 1st.
In the matter of Eire insurance on City Hall and Fire Stations the Board decided to
divide this patronage among twenty four insurance agents e-qually and instructed the
Secretary to obtain rate on Tornado insurance for an equal amount and also a rate
on bombing insurance on the City hall and contents.
The meeting adjourned at 11 A. M.
