There is an "in -home" level AP that is moved to locations as needed to provide wireless. Requested Features The current City of South Bend has requested a Phased approach to upgrading the network and wireless coverage in the backstage, ticketing, and Ballroom areas of the Morris Center with the ability to expand high -density coverage to the guest seating areas in the future. Some specific requests: Wireless Coverage for the front Foyer area and ticket booth of the Center for wireless scanner coverage support Wireless Coverage for the Ball Room. Initially to support approximately 100-150 connected devices to start and possibly expand in the future as need dictates. Staff/Performer Internet connection that is isolated from the Guest network, unrestricted to internet, in stage, backstage, and basement areas. Proposed Solution The proposed solution with the use of the City of South Bend 5508 Wireless controller to provide the centralized controller to the wireless system in the Morris Center. Network Solutions as provided a "full" and "half' density design initially for this request. The proposed solution includes: • Exact access point installation may vary in separate locations due to the challenge of the historic building, and may adjust during installation. • The Ball Room has been reduced to 2 access point placements for the initial phase. These access points will look to be mounted to the lighting rails on opposite corners of the room as depicted in the attached AP placement documentation. Future expansion may require these APs to be relocated. • Additional Access point location recommendations have been provided for ticket/vendor/backstage areas in the provided access point placement maps • A separate access point group will be created for the access points in the Morris Center to allow flexibility in the SSIDs that will be broadcast in this site. • A guest wireless network will be created for the Morris Center with an Access Control List to isolate traffic to "Internet -Only", and a per -user data rate limit will be created. (Rate limit to be determined during planning/configuration) • Staff/Performer Internet will be created as unrestricted to the internet on a separate VLAN from the Guest network. • Cisco 2960X network switches to provide access and connectivity to the newly installed access points, and will link to the City of South Bend network for access to the wireless controller and internet. Based upon Cisco's family of products, and NSI services, NSI will give City of South Bend an updated High -Density wireless system. The Cisco controller managed wireless controller provides a single centralized device to manage and control the wireless environment. Cisco access points have Clean -Air technology to continuously scan the RF environment for security threats, interference issues and can automatically configure the RF settings to maximize performance. The Cisco wireless system also provides application visibility and control into your wireless network. City of South Bend has provided a request to upgrade their wireless network. Network Solutions, INC (NSI) has created a response to this request utilizing the Cisco 2802i product line as the solution in this design. NSI Engineers will work with City of South Bend to develop the necessary wireless configurations that is required to provide a fully functioning wireless network. NSI will provision the network hardware in accordance to the design outlined in this document. The following responsibilities for the Network are required for a successful implementation: City of South Bend Responsibilities: • Provide network schema including access / VPN information, IP addresses, passwords, etc... • Provide NS[ with all required information for configuration • Access to existing network equipment may be required to configure for new equipment to be installed into the network • Ensure proper environmental conditions • Assist NSI in creating Wireless SSIDs • Provide current configurations and passwords needed to mirror the current wireless deployment if applicable ® Provide floorplan of building (electronic preferred) • Assist NSI with Network Ready for Use (NRFU) testing NSI Responsibilities: • if necessary, assist in creating new VLANs for new wireless SSIDs (up to 2) this will also require DHCP pools for the new networks that are created as well • Supply AP placement locations for all access points within this project • Install Horizontal Cabling (Cat6a) (3rd Party Contractor) • Test all new cabling prior to wireless system install for new locations (3rd Party Contractor) • Install Access Points (3rd Party Contractor) • Document location of each access point by room number, name, and AP MAC address (3rd Party Contractor) • Configure Access Point Group for all access points in the Morris Center design • Create and configure "Internet -Only" ACL for Guest users VLAN • Discuss and create "per -user" rate limits for guest network • Configure SSID(s) (up to 2 for new install) • Discuss and configure suggested Advanced Wireless settings (Data Rates, Bandwidths, Power Settings, etc...) • Configure AP Hostnames • Perform a full system Network Ready for Use (NRFU) *It is typically not recommended to configure an access point to broadcast more than 4 SSIDs as it can incrementally degrade wireless performance Network Solutions, INC. Final Deliverables NSI will deliver a fully tested Wireless solution that includes the following: • Fully operational Wireless System as described in this Scope of Work Implementation -Scope of Work In this design, Network Solutions, Inc. has also provided a quantity of 2 Cisco 2960X, 24 Port switches to provide access to between the new access points and the network. The new 2960X switches will be configurated and installed in place of the existing AT&T router and network switch equipment that is in place. New VLANs will be created for the internal guest wireless network, and the staff/performer wireless network, The new switches will be installed and terminated to the City of South Bend network equipment to tie into the network and use of www.nsil.com WHY we do is as important as WHAT we do (574) 271-0900 Page: 18 of 25 the Cisco 5508 wireless controller. Exact installation placements of these new switches may change, but currently expected to be installed in the building MDF to connect to the current CoSB network equipment, and below the stage in the location of the existing AT&T router and switch. The cable paths and lengths may determine where the switches should be installed. *NOTE:- Network Racks, and,Cabling,between;MDF/I.DF may need tab required*. Infrastructure Physical Layer Requirements The Physical Layer involves all aspects of grounding, wiring, terminations, and telecommunication services for this project. The requirements in this sections include: racking equipment; provisioning power, directing airflow, and provisioning infrastructure wiring and cables. NSI has reviewed the physical layer requirements for this project. The following responsibilities for the Physical Layer are required for a successful implementation: City of .South Bend Physical Responsibilities: • Device Preparation a Capture Existing Device Configurations - Having a snapshot of the existing network is necessary for preparing configurations for the new devices and is recommended to ensure fallback capability in the event an error occurs as part of the installation. City of South Bend is responsible for gathering the running configuration from the devices scheduled for replacement and providing them to NSI. o Identify and Review Unique Parts - Unique ports are all ports that fall outside of a standard configuration. These include uplink ports, special VLAN ports, special speed/duplex ports, and other defining features identified in the configuration. NSI will identify unique ports from the provided running configurations and create a 'Port -Mapping' Spreadsheet. City of South Bend is responsible for reviewing and approving the provided spreadsheet. o Label Unique Ports - City of South Bend is responsible for labeling each unique port identified by NSI in the'Port-Mapping' spreadsheet. Every unique port will need to be physically labeled indicating the new port it will be plugged into. • Site Preparation o Storage and Staging Area -- City of South Bend is responsible for designating a location for all ordered equipment to be delivered to. This location should provide a temperate area for storage and staging of equipment. o Equipment Racks - The existing racks will be used for this installation. City of South Bend is responsible for providing adequate power, cooling, and rack space for the new equipment. Physical specifications for each piece of hardware being deployed are available in the Appendices section. o Airflow- Each device is designed to move air through it in a specific pattern. Devices should be placed in such a manner that air flows from a 'cold' aisle (intake) to a hot" aisle (exhaust). City of South Bend is responsible for ensuring space is clear around the devices and allows for proper ventilation. o Power- The equipment will be deployed with the power cables and connector types as specified in the quote. City of South Bend is responsible for providing the proper PDUs or receptacles for powering all equipment. o Transceivers and Twinax - NSI is providing only the transceivers and twinax as specified in the quote. The provided hardware accounts for requested connections based upon the information provided by City of South Bend during the design. If the transceiver counts change following project acceptance, a change order can be submitted to create a quote for the required additions. **All 10Gbps SR optics must utilize OM3 or OM4 fiber for transport in-between closets. If OM1 fiber is still part of the infrastructure LRM optics must be specified for 10Gbps transport. o Patch Cables - City of South Bend is responsible for providing all patch cables, either fiber or copper, except those specified on the quote. If the patch cable counts or requirements change following project acceptance, a change order will include a request for additional patch cables. o Access - City of South Bend is responsible for ensuring timely access to the equipment installation area. NSI will identify unique ports from the provided running configurations and create a 'Part -Mapping' Spreadsheet. City of South Bend is responsible for reviewing and approving the provided spreadsheet. o Install New Equipment - NSI is responsible for the installation of new equipment and removal of the replaced equipment. o Label New Equipment— NSI is responsible for labeling each device with its configured Hostname, IP address, and any relevant port configurations (ie: data ports, camera ports, access point ports). If City of South Send desires a label to be affixed to the equipment it is their responsibility to provide those labels prior to installation. o Dress Cables — NSI is responsible for wrapping the new patch cables installed in a neat an orderly manner. Existing cables will remain as previously installed. Infrastructure Network Layer Requirements The Network Layer involves all aspects of user and application connectivity and routing in the network. The requirements in this section include: VLAN / network creation, developing routing relationships, creating failover configurations, and more. NSI will provision the network hardware in accordance to the design outlined in the proposed solution above. The following responsibilities for the Network are required for a successful implementation: City of South Bend Network Responsibilities: Network Preparation o Provide Network Schema - City of South Bend is responsible for providing details related to the network design as requested by NSI. Items may include remote access / VPN information, device IP addresses, passwords, network topology, expected failover policies, etc. o Develop Network -Ready -Far -Use Testing Requirements - City of South Bend is responsible for developing a list of critical services that must be operational at the end of the installation. These services are considered an indication that the installation was performed successfully and completely. These may involve: ■ Verifying Access to Email ■ Verifying DHCP Services Verifying Firewall permissions / Internet Connectivity ■ Verifying WAN Connectivity / Optimal Routing Device Preparation o Develop Configuration Features — NSI and City of South Bend will review features available on the device platforms and determine which ones will be implemented. This will make up the bulk of the device configuration. o Develop Configuration Scripts -- Using the 'Port -Mapping' spreadsheet and the 'City of South Bend Configuration Features' spreadsheet, NSI will develop a configuration script for each device that most closely adheres to best -practices and interoperates with the existing network as described by City of South Bend . Site Preparation o Approve Service Window — Based upon NSI's recommended service window City of South Bend will specify and approve a time installation can be performed. The installation of new equipment is characterized by major disruption to network services and should be accounted for at each affected location. NSI Network Responsibilities: a Network Preparation o Develop Revised Network Schema — NSI will develop revised network documentation outlining the design post -installation. Customer hereby grants and Network Solutions, Inc. reserves a purchase money security interest in the Equipment and the proceeds thereof as a security for its obligations hereunder until payment of the full Purchase price to Network Solutions, Inc. Customer authorizes Network Solutions, Inc. to file financing statements to perfect its purchase money security interest. Customer acknowledges that in the event of Customer's default and the exercise by Network Solutions, Inc. of its security interest in the Equipment, all of Customer's systems and activities which depend on the Equipment will be disrupted or rendered Inoperable. The Purchase Price is due and payable upon delivery of the Equipment In accordance with the terms on the face of the invoice. Customer shall pay all taxes and other governmental charges assessed in connection with the rental, use or possession of the Equipment including, without limitation, any and all sales and/or use taxes and personal property taxes. 3. PAST DUE INVOICES. Invoices are past due the day following the date payment is due. Interest charges shall accrue from that date. In the event of past due invoices, Customer agrees to pay to Network Solutions, Inc., as interest, an amount equal to 2% per month, or the maximum provided by law, (whichever is less) for invoice amounts that are past due. Should Network Solutions, Inc. be forced to initiate legal action to collect unpaid amounts from past due invoices, Customer agrees to pay Network Solutions, Inc.'s reasonable attorney's fees and costs of collection in addition to the interest described above. A. TITLE. Customer shall acquire title to the Equipment upon full payment of the purchase price(s) set forth herein, Notwithstanding the foregoing, Network Solutions, Inc. and any licensor of rights to Network Solutions, Inc. shall retain title to and rights in the intellectual property (whether or not subject to patent or copyright) and content contained in the materials supplied under the terms of this Agreement. S. RETURNS. All returns must be approved by.Network Solutions, Inc. and a RMA number assigned prior to return shipment. Customary restocking fees of 15% will apply to all non -defective returns. Returns delivered to Network Solutions, Inc, without prior consent will be rejected and returned. If evaluation product is not returned at the end of the evaluation period, evaluation unit invoices are due and payable on the day following the invoice date. 6. SELECTION OF EQUIPMENT; MANUFACTURER WARRANTY. Customer acknowledges that customer has selected the Equipment and disclaims any statements made by Network Solutions, Inc. Customer acknowledges and agrees that use and possession of the Equipment by Customer shall be subject to and controlled by the terms of any manufacturer's or, if appropriate, supplier's warranty, and Customer agrees to look solely to the manufacturer or, if appropriate, supplier with respect to all mechanical, service and other claims, and the right to enforce all warranties made by said manufacturer are hereby, to the extent Network Solutions, Inc. has the right, assigned to Customer. THE FOREGOING WARRANTY IS THE EXCLUSIVE WARRANTY AND IS IN LIEU OF ANY ORAL REPRESENTATION AND ALL OTHER WARRANTIES AND DAMAGES, WHETHER EXPRESSED, IMPLIED OR STATUTORY. NETWORK SOLUTIONS, INC. HAS NOT MADE NOR DOES MAKE ANY OTHER WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION ANY WARRANTY OF FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, MERCHANTABILITY, OR OF NONINFRINGEMENT OF THIRD PARTY RIGHTS AND AS TO NETWORK SOLUTIONS, INC. AND ITS ASSIGNEES, CUSTOMER PURCHASES THE EQUIPMENT "AS IS". 7. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY. Network Solutions, Inc.'s entire liability for any damages which may arise hereunder, for any cause whatsoever, and regardless of the form of action, whether in contract or In tort, including Network Solution, Inc.'s negligence, or otherwise, shall be limited to the Purchase Price paid by Customer for the Equipment. IN NO EVENT WILL NETWORK SOLUTIONS, INC. BE LIABLE FOR ANY SPECIAL, INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS OF BUSINESS OR PROSPECTIVE BUSINESS OPPORTUNITIES, PROFITS, SAVINGS, INFORMATION, USE OR OTHER COMMERCIAL OR ECONOMIC LOSS, EVEN IF NETWORK SOLUTIONS, INC. HAS BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. 8, GOVERNING LAW, DISPUTE RESOLUTION. This Agreement is made under and will be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Indiana (except that body of law controlling conflicts of law) and specifically excluding from application to this Agreement that law known as the United Nations Convention on the International Sale of Goods. The parties will endeavor to settle amicably by mutual discussions any disputes, differences, or claims whatsoever related to this Agreement. Failing such amicable settlement, any controversy, claim, or dispute arising under or relating to this Agreement, including the existence, validity, interpretation, performance, termination or breach thereof, the parties to this Agreement hereby consent to jurisdiction and venue in the courts of the state of Indiana. 9, MISCELLANEOUS. The above terms and conditions are the only terms and conditions upon which Network Solutions, Inc. is willing to sell the Equipment and supersede all previous agreements, promises or representations, oral or written.
