Board approved the contractors bond in the sum of = 1,000.00 in favor of
t'4 F . Hopkins.
Board approved cla.ins for various departments in the sum of 1,326.26 and
hereby order City �'ontroller to pay same.
Board approved. ppy roll claims for various departments in the sum of
2,535.03 and hereby order City Controller to pay same.

1. That the Bo--rd of Public ` orks in the City of South Bend, Indiana, does hereby
adopt the attpched plans and specifications for lighting the streets, alleys, boulevard
Parks and other public places of the City of 1-0
South Bend end the form of contrect embodv
ing the same which the Board proposes to enter into provided a satisfactory bid for
said 1ifrhting is received. Copies of this resolution and of said - 1pns e.ne', specificati
shall be kept on file at the office of the Board for the use of bidders and other
interested persons.
2. That sealed bids or proposals for the furnishing of lamps endlight and the

necessary wintenence of the same for ti'l.e lighting of the streets, alleys, boulevards,
parks ,and. public places in the City of South Bend, i-ndisn�-, in accordance with said
plans and sp ec ifica tions, enclosed in an envelope directed to the Board of Public Works
of the City of South. Bend, and endorsed "Proposal for Public Lighting" with the name
of the persons or corporation meking the bid, will be received by the Board of Public
1,'Vorks when called for during the meet-Jng of said Board of Public orks, to be held at •
its�eeting place at room 7 in the City Ball Building, in the City of South Bend, at
tr e hour of 3 o'clock P.T. , on the 27th . , day of Augus t , 1934, and immediately thereaf-
ter, st said time and plece and faring said session of sai d Poerc of Public Works, all
bids received will be publicly opened end read and the ward of the contract, if awarded
will be made by resolution of the Boars: of Public Vvorks as soon thereafter as practica-
ble . All bids shall be upon the attached form prepared therefor by the Board or upon
a form substantially similar thereto. The Board reserves the right to reject any and
iall bids.

bid, an affidavit, as rer-uired by law, stating that such bidder '-as not directly or ink
directly enetered into any combination, collusion, undertaking or agreement with any
other bidder to maintain the price of tn.e services or contract herein specified or to •
prevent any other bidder or bic dens from bidding on such services or contract or to
induce any bidder or bidders to refrain from bidding on such, contract or services, that
such bid is m-nde wi thout regard or. reference to any other bid or bids and without any
agreement, undertaing or combination either directly -or indirectly with any other per-
son, firm or corporation with refer-ence to such bidding in any way or manner vurhatsoever.

published in said City, a notice informing the public and contractors of the general

and form of contract to be entered into with t,e successfuly bidder, and form of ordi-
nance approving the same, are on file in the offs ce o-a' the said Board of Public Works
for the use -t' bidders end other interested persons, Pnd that se^led proposals for such .

fieations adopted by the Eord for the street li�htin� �ere`in proper form and for the
best interests of the City.
The l oard of safety recuested that the owners of the lot at the corner of Lincoln
'gay East and Carroll Street be ordered to replace the curb whim jz;a.s removed for
parkins purposes. Said request referred to City Ian ~inter, `V . S. "oore , for inve stige-
tion.
