Gent leme n: The 1934 budget provided for the expenditure in the Street Department of all ironies estimated to be received from automobile license fees a nd ga soline tax. The ' City Controller's estimate was based on the amounts received during the ye^r 1933 totaling 01119660.591 however actual experience has disclosed that thd) total revenue to be expected from this source during 1934 probably will not exceed 95,000.00. In view of the foregoing 1- hereby issue executive order no. The Board improved the bontracfors Bond of Michael ftaeszewski in the stem. of $1,000.00 signed by Martin Kamiewski and John B. Nowinski, resident freeholders. The Board approved pay zoll cleims for vericus departments in the sum. of 7,980.52 end hereby orders City Controller to pay same. The Board rpproved clsimx for various departments in -the sum. of 062.97 and hereby orders City Controller to pQy same as soon ns possible. Oity Engineer. S. I,_oon' presented the Bridge Plans for the track elevation and gr^de separation at Western -"venue and Walnut Street, as approved by the State- Bighway Commission: Upon -Mr. YAoore's recommendation, the Bo€srd approved said Bridge plans as presented. City -engineer, S. Moore, filed the specifications for the collection end disposal df GGorbaEp and for the disposal only of Garbage. The Board adopted said specifications and hereby orders the Secretary of the Board to proceed -with the legal ad.vertisenent for proposals on same. The Board orders that on the9th. , day of July, 1934, bids will be received f ar the collection and :disposal -of g<•rba.ge and for the disposal only of garbage in the City of South Bend, Indians-. Publications for said uly,,d proposals stall be published on the ?_8th . , day of June and on the 5th. , day of July, 1934, in the South Bend News Times and Tribune. The Boe rd adopted specifications for the street Lighting `ontre ct and hereby orders that on the 10th., day of July, 1934, the Board will receive, open and read sealed proposals for the said general contract for street lighting. The Board further orders that notices of said proposals be ppublished on the 2Bth . , day of June and on the 5th . , da f July, 1934, in the South Bend News Times and Tribune, according to law.
