Boerd met in regular session at 3-15 P. V. All members ?resent. W. S.
Moore, City Rngineer, also present. Minutes of meeting held Monday, May 14th., 19340
read and approved.
William F. Q;ualls, superintedent of.3treet lighting, appeared before the
Board with a recommendation that lights be installed on Jefferson Blvd . , east of Iron*
,�.00d ''rive, end on Adams Street at the corner of Elwood Avenue. The Board asked that
W. S. Moore may a tour of these sections of the city with Mr. Qualls, and report the
need of these lights to the Board. at their next meeting.
The matter of the two telephone operators was discussed and it was decided
to rive Mrs. Eschael Barkley a vacation period with pTy until June 1st. , and the
Secretary of the Board. was instructed to advise Mrs. Barkley of the Board's decision
after the meeting oP the Cabinet.
The Board approved claims for various departments in the sum of - 546.49.
Meeting adjourned until 5-30 P. M.

Board met in adjourned session at 5-30 P. M. All members present. City
Engineer, W. S'. T."oore, also present. This m'etinrwas held after the Cabinet meeting
and it was decided to have but one tele-phonq� operator. I'piss Ada Roy is to be retained,,
her hours shall be from a A. M. to 5 P. M., end Saturdsys from 8 A. M. to 1 P. h"., with
one hour off for lunch. Her salary is to be increased from $63.00 per month to $70.00. •
Yrs. Rachael Barkley is to be laid off but is to receive her salary up to June 1, 1934.
