Committee Members Present: Gavin Ferlic, Regina Williams-Preston, Oliver Davis, Will Smith(citizen member) Committee Members Absent: Randy Kelly Other Council Present: Tim Scott,Jo M. Broden, John Voorde, Karen White Other Council Absent: Dr. David Varner Others Present: Kareemah Fowler, Graham Sparks, Bob Palmer Presenters: Larry Magliozzi Agenda: Bill No. 87-17- Historic Preservation Transition Committee Chair Gavin Ferlic called to order the Community Investment Committee meeting at 4:15 p.m. He introduced members of the Committee and proceeded to give the floor to the presenters. Bill No. 87-17- Historic Preservation Transition Larry Magliozzi, Executive Director of the Area Plan Commission with offices on the 11th floor of the County-City Building, stated, This is to allow the transfer of the Historic Preservation Commission to the City of South Bend. The Area Plan Commission gave this a favorable recommendation. Committee Chair Ferlic opened the floor to questions from Committee and Councilmembers. There were none. He then opened the floor to members of the public wishing to speak in favor of or in opposition to the legislation. There were none. He then turned the floor back to the Committee for further comment or main motion. Committeemember Regina Williams-Preston made a motion to send Bill No. 87-17 to the full Council with a favorable recommendation. Committeemember Will Smith seconded this motion which carried unanimously by a voice vote of four (4) ayes.
