The following recommendation from 'f+m. F. Qirlls, Superintendent of Street
Lighting;, was sign d a.nc+ approved by the Boa rd :

To The Honorable Hoard of Public Works,
Gentlemen:
I recommend that the attached petition be -granted and. a 4000 lumen light,
with mast arm construti on and overhead serbic e 1-fires, be ins'a lled on College Street
at the alley nettTeen Humboldt end EleTood Avenue, at a cost of 5>45.00 per yepr.
I recorr ,—nr further that in order to pey fnr this Night without increasing
the street lighting expense, that taro Luxist inp, boulevard lights loci ted on Collep
Street bete! een Elwood and Keller Streets, be discontinued.
Some years ago, seben :boulevnrd lights were installed in the above section
by the .�er1 Este to Company promoting this a.dd.tion, and the City provides the current

discontinued without inconvenience to anT one, thus making. a. saving of �60.00. The
above recoimaended li_Ffit rill cost �45.00, leaving a net saving to the street lighting
