Mark Kramer: He stated that his properties have been quiet and that it has been a great year with no complaints. He plans on getting dumpsters at his properties for when the students move out. He called Goodwill about bringing some trucks during the move out and told students to donate their things instead of throwing them out. He also stated that he has given some Notre Dame students permission for them to build their regattas on his property east of the boathouse if the property is kept clean. Tim Sexton: The University was approved by Parks on Monday to start work on the boathouse. This coming Tuesday the work will start. There will be temporary storage for the scullers. Construction is due to be complete mid to late November. There will be landscaping done, including 90 bushes and trees, 10 foot sidewalks, lighting, a restroom facility and an additional dock that will be available to the public when Notre Dame isn't having practice. Bryan Ricketts: Since the cab situation was discussed at the previous meeting, he found a card about cabs and it provided specific information on what to do if there were any problems with the cab companies and how to report them. He will print this off and provide it to the new students in the fall. Marguerite Taylor: Besides the Robinson Center she belongs to, she is also part of a neighborhood roundtable and they were discussing a raffle and most of the people would prefer a ride on a boat from the boathouse. This was discussed with Tim Sexton about possibly checking into that for the future. Otherwise things in the neighborhood are going fine and she will be carrying the torch for the City's 150th anniversary in May. Robert Lulgjuarj: The school year is winding down and Patrick O'Connor will be the next student body president. There are no big plans set for the fall. Kathy Reese: She lives near a church on Notre Dame Avenue and witnessed a very inebriated student urinating in a bush near a blue house. She wants to know who owns the house to tell them. Mark Kramer stated that his daughter owns it and the problem was addressed and they are telling students that they need to be aware of inappropriate behavior. Kathy Cekanski Farrand: There is a bill pending with the council regarding no cell phone usage in the City of South Bend. There will be a public hearing on Monday. Gail Mancini: No new updates. Candidates are still being reviewed for the Dean's position. Dan Allen: In terms of safety, there have been two home robberies and two students were robbed at gunpoint. Students were advised to be aware of their environment especially around moving time which is a high theft period. Students are happy with the police dealing with the issues. There was a business plan discussed about campus services which was taken under advisement. LouElla Webster: They are now getting bids for the construction on Kelly Park. They will have a pavilion built, and there will be landscaping. Local 150 will donate earthmoving equipment and materials. This should start around mid-May. Dr. Kelly Jordan: Construction is going well at Holy Cross. He would like to host the October meeting to show everyone the new buildings on campus. The next CCAC meeting was tentatively scheduled for Wednesday, September 2, 2015 at 3:30 p.m. at the County-City Building, 4th Floor, Council Chambers. Council Member Gavin Ferlic thanked everyone and adjourned the meeting at 4:05 p.m. 2
